# Anger

*A brief gust reveals a knot in an intact shoreline cord before the water stills*

In Bashar's account, anger in its natural state is a brief, useful alignment — not a destructive emotion. The destruction is what arrives when the natural moment is extended through judgment and invalidation. Across many sessions he gives the same teaching with striking consistency: natural anger lasts about ten to fifteen seconds; anything longer is something else.

## Anger as alignment with what is true for you

Bashar defines anger functionally as the energy of recognizing your own truth against something that does not represent it. "Anger is alignment with what you know to be true for you when compared with something you know is not true for you. You don't have to feel it in a negative way if you do not judge the idea. It is simply alignment. It is the rush that aligns you when you see something else with what you know to be true for you.

The same definition recurs in session after session: anger is "simply the aligning energy that allows you to synchronize with what you know represents the reality you are,

> — What You Are (qa-8), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/what-you-are)

and "the process of complete and total alignment with what you believe to be true for yourself, compared to a scenario you are presented with.

> — The Awakening Iii (qa-8), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/the-awakening-iii)

This means the felt intensity of anger is not itself the problem. "The rush of energy you call anger is simply the adrenaline rush that comes with alignment; it is the same energy as anxiety and excitement — the vibration of your alignment, not judged. If you deny it, you refuse to acknowledge a portion of your own consciousness.

## The fifteen-second boundary

Bashar repeatedly names a specific window for natural anger. "Natural anger only lasts about ten to fifteen seconds. Beyond that, it is invalidation, judgment, guilt, frustration, hatred, rage, jealousy. Natural anger is a reflection of seeing something you know you are not; it helps you understand more strongly what you are.

> — Convictions (qa-7), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/convictions)

In You Are Spirit: "Anger in its natural state may bring the adrenaline rush of alignment with self-cognition, but it does not have to last any longer than approximately 15 of your seconds. If it lasts any longer, you are invalidating something.

> — You Are Spirit (qa-4), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/you-are-spirit)

And in Basha Equality: "The idea of anger that is naturally expressed in your civilization usually only lasts 10 to 15 of your seconds. Beyond that, it is judgment.

> — Basha Equality (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/basha-equality)

The function of that brief window is re-centering, not action against another. "When you see something that does not represent the idea you know yourself to be, your anger centers you where you know you are, what idea you are relative to what you are seeing.

> — Basha Equality (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/basha-equality)

Once that re-centering has happened, the work of the emotion is done; continuing to push from there is what turns it into frustration and rage.

## What extends anger into harm

The pivot point is judgment — of the trigger, of the other, or of yourself for feeling it. "Anger becomes negative only when you go beyond alignment and begin to invalidate or judge the scenario as unworthy of being in your life — but it is there for a reason,

> — The Awakening Iii (qa-8), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/the-awakening-iii)

and "Natural anger, so to speak, that rush only actually lasts about 15 seconds. Anything beyond that generally extends only from judgment and belief system that are out of alignment.

> — Dolphin Et Workshop Full (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/dolphin-et-workshop-full)

Bashar is explicit that the door also opens inward: "if you continue to judge it, then it can turn into judgment, guilt, frustration, hate, violence. As soon as you started to judge yourself, you extend the experience of violence.

> — What You Are (qa-8), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/what-you-are)

The same pattern appears in identity-transition contexts. "There is nothing wrong with anger. It is just exhausting when you turn it into something else. Natural anger is a self-aligning energy... But natural anger usually only lasts about ten to fifteen of your seconds. What becomes exhausting is when you judge yourself for becoming angry instead of simply using it as the tool that it is.

> — Co creation (qa-17), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/co-creation)

## Preference is not judgment

A central distinction recurs: you can know what is true for you without invalidating what is true for someone else. "Preference is not judgment; preference is what is true for you, without judging what is not true for you to be anything less or invalid.

> — Back To Basics (qa-14), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/back-to-basics)

This lets natural anger do its clarifying work without converting into attack. "That alignment rush does not give you the right to attack or accuse another individual, otherwise you are aligning with what you say you do not prefer. The initial natural anger lasts approximately ten to fifteen seconds; anything longer is usually invalidation, guilt, resentment, rage, jealousy, or hate.

> — Home Stretch (qa-7), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/home-stretch)

## Anger as signpost of beliefs

In a related framing, Bashar treats anger as information about the belief system that produced it. "Spending the anger by using it in a positive way, by knowing that it is there to reveal to you an aspect of your beliefs that can be then explored and transformed. Anger is a signpost, a signpost of things within you that are out of alignment with your true self.

> — Dolphin Et Workshop (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/dolphin-et-workshop)

In a session on definitions, he places anger among other brief emotions whose prolongation comes from interpretation: "Anger is alignment with what you know to be true for you. Anything that lasts longer than 10 to 15 of your seconds is no longer anger but judgment.

> — Synchronicity (qa-7), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/synchronicity)

## Practical implications

The transcripts support the following practical stances. None of this is clinical therapy for anger-related disorders; where anger is persistent, frightening, or tied to harm, professional help remains the appropriate resource.

When anger arises, treat the first burst as information: it shows where your truth meets something that does not match it. Let it clarify rather than drive behavior.

> — Convictions (qa-7), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/convictions)

Watch the fifteen-second threshold. If the intensity persists beyond that, the likely culprits are invalidation of the trigger or judgment of yourself for feeling it.

> — You Are Spirit (qa-4), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/you-are-spirit)

> — What You Are (qa-8), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/what-you-are)

Separate preference from judgment. You can hold firmly to what is true for you without declaring the other side invalid, less, or wrong.

> — Back To Basics (qa-14), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/back-to-basics)

Resist the urge to force reality after the alignment has happened. "once you are aligned, that allows the reality to take care of itself. You do not need to continue with frustration on the assumption that now that you have the anger, you have to force the reality to go the way you think it needs to.

> — Basha Equality (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/basha-equality)

Treat anger as a signpost to a belief, not only as a response to a situation. The belief underneath is what can be explored and, if you prefer, transformed.
