# Animal Consciousness

*Four distant animal traces occupy distinct habitats beneath one reflected sky*

Animal consciousness, in Bashar's teaching, is one way the single consciousness that is your dimension chooses to see itself from a particular angle. Each species is a facet of the same multidimensional crystal that human consciousness also facets; an animal is not a lesser being running on a smaller brain, but a pure, focused perspective that the whole uses to experience a specific band of itself. Understanding animals therefore begins with understanding what kind of facet they are, how they reflect the themes humanity is running, and what the practical implications are for how you live beside them.

## Each facet is permanent and necessary

On the highest level, in the One, there is no differentiation and no awareness of self. The One splits into All-That-Is precisely in order to know itself, and the instant it does, it differentiates into multitudinous unique facets — each one of which must remain what it is, or All-That-Is stops being complete.

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

This is why animal consciousness does not literally reincarnate as human. Animal consciousness is one of those permanent facets: it survives physical death, because everything does — physical reality is only the temporary manifestation — but it does not graduate into a human incarnation. It can create an experience that seems like a human incarnation, and it can hold energetic linkages and experiential continuities with other levels of consciousness, but the facet itself stays the facet. One thing cannot become another without losing that facet, and that facet is needed for All-That-Is to be All-That-Is.

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

Physically, this same idea appears as a division of perspective. When consciousness projects itself into materiality, it fragments into discrete perspectives, and the animals generally represent specific, unique aspects of the whole point of view — whereas human consciousness represents the amalgamation, the matrix that can tap into all the archetypal streams at once. The human contains the animal kingdom, the plants, and the minerals as part of what makes up the human station; that inclusiveness is what makes you human. It does not make you better than the animals, only a different kind of facet — the facet whose job is to blend.

## Focused intelligence, not lesser intelligence

Because animal consciousness is a discrete perspective rather than an amalgamation, its intelligence is not smaller than human intelligence; it is more focused. An animal may use all of its intelligence in one pure direction, and that focus is its intelligence — not a deficit of brain. A smaller brain simply reflects that the animal does not need to process the way a human processes; it is not interested in that, so it does not require the apparatus for it.

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

This reframes the long human habit of treating dominion over animals as the natural order. Bashar calls that habit a relationship with normalization, not with nature. A true relationship with nature would be egalitarian; in many cases, humans have a long way to go to reach the level of intelligence the animal kingdom expresses in its focused way.

## Animals as archetypal reflections and guides

Because each species carries a specific angle of the whole, an animal that appears in your experience can act as a guide and a mirror. The animal is, on one level, an extension of your own consciousness; it has agreed, in a sense, to play a symbol for your emergence or transformation into a different state. The symbol is not arbitrary — it is chosen because the being's consciousness has a real relationship to the idea it represents to you. A hummingbird, for example, often connects symbolically to time: to that animal, human life appears to function at a very slow pace, so encountering one can be the experience of viewing your own higher-consciousness essence from outside the time frame you hold as fixed.

> — Animal Guides (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-guides)

The same reflective function underlies Bashar's reading of animal behavior in a human life. When a dolphin-and-whale level of consciousness exists in your oceans, it occupies in the water reality the same station that humanity occupies in the land reality — two parallel alien worlds, each with its own amalgamation consciousness and its own set of animal reflections.

> — Animals And Extinction (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animals-and-extinction)

When a pet manifests a physical condition, the animal may be filtering residue from the human's own process — taking on, as a regulating valve, some of the strain of what the human is exploring, so the human does not have to carry it all physically. The animal in that case is a pacing regulator: pacing yourself by its comfort level is part of respecting the being that is supporting you.

> — Animals And Extinction (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animals-and-extinction)

Animal encounters also appear in a synchronistic window during a mass transformation: you may encounter many individuals who have similar encounters with the same animal over a stretch of time, because that animal is willing to perform as a symbol for many people at once, guiding them to the understanding of their own higher consciousness.

## Animals reflect the theme humanity is running

The collective relationship between humanity and the animal kingdom follows the same reflective logic. If humanity appears to dominate the animal kingdom, the deeper mechanic is that the animals take their cue from the theme humanity is running. They reflect back what is paramount or dominant in that theme. If the theme is predatory, they reflect predation. As soon as humanity becomes more symbiotic, so do they — because they do not have the same agendas; they are mirroring.

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

You can already see this shift beginning in the records of species previously assumed to be enemies that now interact as friends, Bashar says, which is an indication that the change is probable and already underway. On Essassani the shift is complete: beings there relate to animals symbiotically, as friends and family who may come and go, not as pets. Earth is probabilistically headed in the same direction.

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-4), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

## Counterparts and cooperative encounters

Because all animal consciousness knows itself, on one level, to be one consciousness, an individual animal can also act as a counterpart — a being who carries a thread of the same energy you carry, and who may continue a guide, friend, or reflection role across form. Bashar's framing is that the counterpart relation is not about identity labels but about present interaction: the being shows up in your experience because the energy needs to be there, and the work is to meet it in the now rather than categorize it.

> — Co creation (qa-15), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/co-creation)

This is the same logic that reads a cooperative animal encounter — a spider that cooperates with being moved, an animal that arrives at a charged moment — as a symbol of interconnectedness, a reflection of being at the hub of the web connected to all that is.

> — Changing Your Life (qa-9), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/changing-your-life)

The encounter is not proof of a fixed universal meaning; it is an interpretation of one moment that the being has agreed to co-create with you.

## Identification as the alternative to vivisection

The reflective nature of animal consciousness has a direct consequence for how humans might learn from animals. If scientists were willing to place consciousness into their equations, they could allow themselves more direct communication with animal consciousness, and the animal would simply tell them many of the things they want to know. They would not have to take an animal apart to learn what they need to learn; they could identify with the vibration of the animal consciousness and allow the information to come. The resistance to this is not capability but trust — the society still thinks it must gain knowledge externally, by taking the physiological universe apart, rather than encountering it as a whole.

> — A Cozy Little Chat (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/a-cozy-little-chat)

The deeper punchline of that exchange is that if you can do this with an animal, you could do it with a human — and then you would not need the animal as a model at all. The same identification that reveals the animal reveals the human, because both are facets of the same consciousness.

> — A Cozy Little Chat (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/a-cozy-little-chat)

## Extinction as a loss of perspective

Extinction, in this framing, is not simply a species disappearing. Each species is a perspective the whole consciousness uses to see itself; when one is eliminated, the totality loses that angle. Some extinction can represent natural transmutation as the whole changes, but when humanity creates circumstances detrimental to species that need to exist at the present time, it is like digging away pieces of itself and burying them — not allowing itself the reflections that would help it understand what it is a representation of.

> — Animals And Extinction (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animals-and-extinction)

The practical instruction Bashar gives is to begin a different kind of interaction: to see animals, plants, and minerals as representations of a different point of view of the single entity that is your dimension of reality. Each human is also that total consciousness from a different point of view — both the parts and the whole expressing itself as a part.

> — Animals And Extinction (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animals-and-extinction)

## Practical implications

Notice the animal as a mirror. When an animal appears in a charged way, ask what angle of your own consciousness it might be reflecting. Bashar's guidance is that the being is, on one level, an extension of you, willing to act as a guide.

> — Animal Guides (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-guides)

Pace yourself by the animals close to you. Pets and animals in primary relationship with you may filter residue from your own process. Their well-being is a barometer; respect it as a pacing regulator rather than pushing them past what their body can process.

> — Animals And Extinction (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animals-and-extinction)

Relate to animals as facets, not resources. Dominion is a relationship with normalization, not with nature. A true relationship is more egalitarian, and shifting your own theme from predatory to symbiotic is reflected back by the animal kingdom.

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

> — Animal Consciousness And The Reincarnational Process (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/animal-consciousness-and-the-reincarnational-process)

Prefer identification to dissection. Bashar's framing suggests that, where possible, communicating with animal consciousness and identifying with its vibration can replace externalized, taking-apart methods of learning. This is a metaphysical stance about the nature of knowledge, not a directive to abandon ordinary veterinary or medical care for animals or humans.

Take extinction seriously as a loss of perspective. Allowing species to disappear is burying pieces of the self; the work of preservation is, in this framing, the work of keeping the totality's reflections intact.

## Representative passages

Yes, they exist beyond the physical as anything does, because physical is the temporary manifestation. They do not reincarnate as humans, per se. […] So what you call animal consciousness, that facet of the multidimensional crystal that expresses itself that way, can certainly create an experience for itself that makes it seem as if it's having a human incarnation. But it doesn't exactly happen that way in the way that you might think it physically.— Bashar,

That's actually not a relationship with nature. That's a relationship with normalization. If you had a true relationship with nature, you would all interact with the animals in a much more egalitarian way. […] Remember that just because an animal consciousness may use all of its intelligence in a focused way doesn't mean it's less intelligent just because it doesn't think like a human.— Bashar,

If you want to say in any way, shape, or form that humanity dominates the animal kingdom, the idea really is more of an expression that they simply take their cue from you because you're running a certain program, you're running a certain theme, and they're more than happy to reflect to you the things that are paramount or dominant in the themes you're exploring. […] But as soon as you become more symbiotic, so do they. Because you see, they don't have the same agendas.— Bashar,

If and when your scientists begin to understand that consciousness can be a part of their equations, a part of their understanding, then they can allow themselves more direct communication with animal consciousness. And the animal will simply tell them many things they want to know. They do not have to take an animal apart to learn the things they need to learn.— Bashar,

Therefore, without a particular component in place, you are in some senses not capable of understanding the whole point of view, the totality of the consciousness that is your dimension of experience.— Bashar,
