# Animals & Pets

*A person and companion animal meet across a shared threshold*

In Bashar's teaching, animals are not lesser beings humans happen to live with; they are willing mirrors, reflections of human consciousness that have chosen a form of service that is, in its own way, profound. Pets in particular are perfect reflective companions — they take on and reflect the individuality of those around them — while cetaceans (dolphins and whales) carry a distinct, Sirius-linked role as the only karmically-reincarnating life forms on the planet.

## Animals as willing reflections

The core framing is direct: animals reflect the consciousness of the humans around them. "They are willing reflections of all the ideas you are exemplifying within your different strata of consciousness upon your planet. They are reflections of how you see yourself."

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

The reflection is precise and structural, not sentimental — "Animals on your planet are territorial because you are,"

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

and "they are always willing to act as a mirror for your emotionality, always with unconditional love and support for whatever you are willing to do. They will die for you."

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

This extends beyond mammals: when asked whether insects and plants share the role, Bashar answers yes — "It is true of plants, minerals, everything."

## Pets as perfect mirrors of those they congregate with

A questioner observes that dogs and cats seem more individualistic than other animals. Bashar reframes this: pets are not intrinsically more individualized, they are better mirrors. "They take on and reflect the individuality of those they are reflecting. They themselves, intrinsically, are not necessarily more individualized. They are perfect mirrors, reflecting the individuals around whom they congregate."

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

The individuality a pet appears to have is the individuality of its humans, reflected back.

This is why Bashar treats each animal's presence as exactly what was needed. When a lost dog comes into a child's life, "the animal always knows exactly where it needs to be at any given moment… for whatever time the animal is with her, that will be the time that the animal needs to be with her." And the dog, specifically, carries a symbolic vibration: "the idea in your civilization of what you call the symbol of the dog is the symbol of service. A companionship and service."

## Reincarnation, karma, and the exception of cetaceans

Bashar draws a precise distinction about how animals reincarnate. All life forms reincarnate, but most do so without karma. "The life forms you call cetacean, whale and dolphin, are the only two groups upon your planet that are carmically reincarnated. All other life forms on your planet are simply reincarnated and exist in any life within conscious knowingness, not within any idea of the process of analysis or thought… or judgment or separation."

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

Other animals return not out of karma but out of attachment — "out of a sense of the idea of attachment, of being a reflection, a loving reflection of whatever you need them to be here for."

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

Their consciousness is also more relational than individual. Animals "see themselves not only as individuals, but primarily as a series of relationships to every other being, in their reality. They see themselves as relationships to other things, more than an individual."

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

Pets are an exception only in degree — they reflect the individuality of their humans, but their own native mode is relational.

*A dog, deer, and dolphins occupy connected but distinct habitats*

## Dolphins, whales, and the Sirius connection

Dolphins and whales carry a distinct role. "They are connected to Sirius energy. It doesn't mean it's the only one, but they are primarily connected to Sirius energy and bring that vibration through to aid and assist in the connection and communication for you as well, in all forms of life on your planet."

> — Dolphins Whales Sirius (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/dolphins-whales-sirius)

Their presence on Earth is, in this framing, a vibrational aid to connection and communication across all life forms — not a metaphor, a function.

## Animals as conscious perspectives with their own wisdom

Earth In Transition makes the same point at the level of all life: "Everything is conscious. Because the universe is made out of consciousness. So yes, each thing is an expression of a different point of view of all that is and has in its own unique wisdom."

> — Earth In Transition (qa-14), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/earth-in-transition)

This is the principle that makes the reflective role possible — animals mirror because they are consciousness, not mechanism.

The same session turns the principle on human research practices: experimenters "would actually learn more by allowing themselves to observe the animals in nature in the wild than they do in their laboratory. They feel they have to learn more to pull nature apart to understand it because they themselves feel disconnected from nature."

> — Earth In Transition (qa-12), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/earth-in-transition)

The failure is relational first and methodological second — the disconnection from nature produces the experimental posture.

## Eating meat: raise the vibration, bless the animal

Asked whether to become vegetarian, Bashar does not lay down a rule. As frequency rises, "it will be less likely that you will want to eat meat because it is… a denser vibration… [that will] make you feel heavier." For those who still eat meat, the guidance is to "at least thank the animal and raise the vibration by blessing it." He is careful to add that lower vibration does not mean lesser being: "when I say lower vibration, I don't mean that animals are less than. I just mean literally vibrational denser or physical."

## Animal death and bereavement as perceptual stretching

When a beloved animal dies, the bereavement itself can become an expansion. Sensing a deceased cat's presence, and a later encounter with a panther, is read as "feeling dimensional doorways opening because you are stretching your senses in a sense to find them, which is one of the things that is exciting about the idea of death, especially of the idea of ones close to you, because their transition to the spirit side in some ways because of your love forces you to stretch after them and expand your sensory apparatus."

> — Easing The Pain Of Death And Loss (qa-12), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/easing-the-pain-of-death-and-loss)

Grief for an animal, like grief for a human, becomes a perceptual opening.

## Practical implications

Read your animal as a mirror. The way an animal behaves around you — territorial, anxious, calm, individualized — is reflecting consciousness around it, including yours. The first place to look when an animal's behavior shifts is the vibration of the household.

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

Honor the time an animal is with you. Each animal "always knows exactly where it needs to be"; the period of companionship is exactly the period of service that was needed. Release happens at the right time.

> — Connections (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/connections)

Treat animals as conscious relations, not objects. Bashar's position on animal research is unequivocal: observation in the wild teaches more than laboratory harm, because the harm stems from a felt disconnection from nature.

> — Earth In Transition (qa-12), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/earth-in-transition)

Do not sentimentalize pets as intrinsically individual. Their individuality is largely a reflection of those they congregate with. The unique-seeming personality of a pet is, in part, your own reflection shown back.

> — Blending (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/blending)

Eat less meat as vibration rises; bless what you do eat. No rule is imposed. Bashar frames dietary shift as a natural consequence of rising frequency and, where meat is still eaten, asks that the animal be thanked and blessed.

> — Earth In Transition (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/earth-in-transition)

Let animal bereavement stretch perception. The sense of a deceased companion's presence, or a symbolic later encounter, can be a real expansion of the senses drawn by love. Treat it as perceptual opening rather than only grief.
