Kachina energy is described as having no physiology in the ordinary sense; it is a quasi-planar pattern, "a type of mathematical pattern in and of itself," a prime archetype that takes whatever form the perceiving civilization needs in order to relate to it. Because it lives "in between" universal realities, it is multifaceted and mercurial — "any being looking upon them will only see what that energy represents to that being." Its function is to create, in the moment of meeting, an absolute reflection of the collective archetypal power of the culture it interacts with.
