# Christ Consciousness

*A many-faceted lens casting one light across an open grid*

Christ consciousness, in this teaching, is the collective consciousness of an entire world — the combined positive consciousness of your whole civilization — expressed through a single individual. It is not a religion, not unique to Jesus, and not a personal identity someone holds apart from the rest of creation. Bashar names it as the same vibration other traditions call the Buddha nature, the Krishna spirit, the Christ spirit, or, on other worlds, by other names — Shetana for the ancient Essassani, Shakana, Sananda, the Great Spirit — and treats the differing labels as culturally translated views of one collective reality.

## The collective template expressed through an individual

The core definition Bashar gives is precise: Christ consciousness is "the collective energy of your entire world... the collective experience of your world through a single individual," in the same way that Buddha nature and Krishna's spirit are.

> — Ascended Masters Archangels Christ Consciousness (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/ascended-masters-archangels-christ-consciousness)

Every world has its own version of this collective consciousness. In Bashar's ancient religious language (no longer used by his civilization) the combined consciousness of his whole world was called Shetana; "your Christ's consciousness and the Shetana of all the world together will form what you call infinite creation."

> — Theology Class (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/theology-class)

Other ancient-language names appear in the corpus for the same idea at different scales — Shakana and Sananda for a single world's collective spirit, Shakhanasha for the collective consciousness of many solar systems together.

Because it is a collective template, Bashar treats contact with a being who embodies that vibration as contact with a collective grid or agreement rather than with one separate personality. Approaching Christ consciousness, Buddha nature, or the Krishna spirit is "tapping into the idea of the collective grid, the collective consciousness, the collective template, the collective agreement," through which you can illuminate your personal agreement relative to the collective one.

## "You are all Christs" — Yeshua's misread intention

A recurring claim across many sessions is that Jesus — Yeshua, or in another rendering Yeshwa — was misunderstood in his own time and is still misunderstood now. What he taught is described as similar to what you call your metaphysical age, but people of his day could not grasp it, so the record was turned into a religion of followers when his intent was the opposite: to create leaders and equals, to let everyone know "you are all Christs."

> — How Can We Manifest Like Jesus (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/how-can-we-manifest-like-jesus)

The Biblical-figures exchange frames Yeshwa's teaching as the recognition that "you are all equal to him... you are all Christ's. You are all children of God," rather than a call for an exclusive devotion or a new religion.

> — Biblical Figures And Characters Real Moses Jesus Etc (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/biblical-figures-and-characters-real-moses-jesus-etc)

The same framing is repeated elsewhere: "You are all children of God, as are we."

> — Jesus Said2 (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/jesus-said2)

This reframing extends to "I am the way." In Bashar's reading it does not mean "worship me" or "follow me as an exception" — it means "be this way. I'm the example. Be like me," an invitation to be that same vibration oneself.

> — Biblical Figures And Characters Real Moses Jesus Etc (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/biblical-figures-and-characters-real-moses-jesus-etc)

The theological exchange sharpens the same point against the idea of a savior: the Christ consciousness is "the combined consciousness, the positive side, of your entire civilization, aware of itself as the combination of all your collective consciousnesses"; the people of that time could only translate the idea through ruler-and-ruled, so they made a king who would do it for them rather than understanding that each of them is a part of what the Christ is. The same answer reframes the "second coming" accordingly: not the manifestation in a single individual, but "the awakening of the Christ's consciousness in all of you, so that you are literally creating heaven on earth."

## Ascended masters as mirrors, not authorities

Bashar locates ascended masters within the same framework. An ascended master is simply someone on your planet who has reached the point of "bringing through an individualized expression of the collective consciousness, whatever you wish to call it, the idea of the God goddess energy, the idea of the Christ consciousness, the Christian spirit, the Buddha energy."

> — What Is An Ascended Master (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/what-is-an-ascended-master)

Such masters act as "living examples" and "a reflection, like a mirror," modelling the potential that lies within each person to express the whole through their own unique perspective. They are therefore not beings above anyone but living mirrors showing that the same whole lives within and is accessible to everyone — the same framing the GLOSSARY gives under ascended master. Ascension itself is described as a degree of frequency, "just a matter of degree of frequency in the same way that you could say that steam is the ascended master of ice."

## How the vibration is exhibited

Bashar reduces embodying the Christ vibration to the same practice he gives elsewhere as the formula: act on your highest passion, from unconditional love, without reservation and with no expectation. The sessions name this directly: exhibit that vibration "by acting on your highest passion and acting from highest unconditional love," where unconditional literally means "without condition," and "with no expectation." Living this way shifts you from parallel reality to parallel reality increasingly reflective of "the vibration of the Christ consciousness, the Buddha nature, the Krishna spirit, doesn't matter what you can call it. It's all the same idea. It's your true core vibration."

> — How Can We Manifest Like Jesus (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/how-can-we-manifest-like-jesus)

> — How Can We Manifest Like Jesus (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/how-can-we-manifest-like-jesus)

The same reduction appears when Bashar is asked about Yeshua's reported manifestations (walking on water, healing). The reply points away from a special person's powers and toward the underlying belief mechanism: the Bible itself records Yeshua saying "it is your belief, it is your faith that has made the difference," and records that in his hometown, where people did not believe, "he could do none of those things." So, Bashar says, "It's all about the idea of your belief system... your actions... your alignment," which is what Yeshua meant by "I am the way" — be this way, be like me.

> — Understanding The Life Of Jesus (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/understanding-the-life-of-jesus)

## Relationship to historical and religious accounts

Bashar does not insist on a uniformly literal reading of religious texts. Asked whether biblical figures such as Moses, Abraham, Solomon, and Jesus were real people as portrayed in the Bible, the reply distinguishes the historical person from the layered account: "Some of it is metaphorical. Some of it is literal. Some of it is an analogy. Some of it is misremembered. Some of it is misinterpreted."

> — Biblical Figures And Characters Real Moses Jesus Etc (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/biblical-figures-and-characters-real-moses-jesus-etc)

The Jesus Said2 exchange makes the same point about translation and ritual: the writings were not committed to paper until approximately fifty-seven years after the death of the physical Jesus, "every single written idea contains some misinterpretation where it regards the idea of placing ritual around the idea of what happened," and "the Bible is not the word of God... it is all relative to itself."

> — Jesus Said2 (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/jesus-said2)

The teaching is therefore not a claim that the Gospels are inerrant, nor a dismissal of them; it is a re-reading that points through the text toward the living vibration it is taken to describe.

## Practical implications

The practical offering is to shift from following to being. A learner can notice where a religious or spiritual framework is framed around devotion to an exceptional figure, and test Bashar's alternative reading — that the same vibration is the collective consciousness accessible through each person, with the figure as mirror and example rather than substitute. The sessions are explicit: "do what he did, not follow. For if you follow, then you wind up saying, he said this, he said that, rather than simply repeating what he said, and feeling the vibration within yourself for what it gives you."

> — Jesus Said2 (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/jesus-said2)

A second implication is the practice the sessions identify with exhibiting the vibration: act on the highest excitement available, from unconditional love (literally "without condition"), without reservation and with no expectation of the outcome. This is the same formula taught throughout the corpus; here it is named as the way the Christ/Buddha/Krishna vibration is expressed.

> — How Can We Manifest Like Jesus (qa-2), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/how-can-we-manifest-like-jesus)

The chapter preserves the standing boundary that this material is a reframing of meaning, not a historical or theological proof: the corpus presents the collective-consciousness reading of Yeshua's teaching as Bashar's account, and each learner remains the decider of what works in their own reality, consistent with Bashar's stated stance that his material is a reflection offered for use, not a demand for belief.

## Representative passages

That's the collective energy of your entire world. Just as Buddha nature is, just as Krishna's spirit is, it doesn't matter what you call it. It's the collective experience of your world through a single individual.— Bashar,

Yeshua, or as you say, Jesus, really did not intend in any way, shape, or form to create followers, intended to create leaders, equals, did not intend to create Christians, per se, intended to let you all know you are all Christs. That's the greatest misunderstanding of the influence.— Bashar,

The Christ consciousness was saying, you are all Christs. So if you can simply exhibit the idea of that vibration by acting on your highest passion and acting from highest unconditional love... and by the way, look up the word unconditional. It means without condition.— Bashar,

Do what he did, not follow. For if you follow, then you wind up saying, he said this, he said that, rather than simply repeating what he said, and feeling the vibration within yourself for what it gives you.— Bashar,
