# Death & Reincarnation

Death, in Bashar's framing, is not an ending but an expansion of consciousness back out of its physical focus, and reincarnation is real as an experience but misleading as a literal mechanism: what you call past and future lives are actually multiple, simultaneous incarnations of the same oversoul, each its own person, all existing now. The teaching rests on the first law of existence — you exist, and you cannot become non-existent — so the identity persists through and beyond death.

## Death is a shift of focus, not a termination

Because existence cannot become non-existence, physical death is framed as a transition rather than an ending. Crossing over commonly brings an interdimensional shift that many interpret as a tunnel of light (though not everyone experiences that — some simply "wake up" in a different frequency domain, the spirit realm, still here but at another frequency). Many experience being greeted by loved ones, meeting celestial beings, coming to understand things they did not understand in life, and regaining the ability to communicate through dreams with people still physically alive.

Upon transition, individuals are generally greeted by others, then proceed to a life review and decide what they wish to do next — and none of this is linear; all of it is going on simultaneously. Even if a soul chooses another life, the prior identity can still be contacted in spirit form: every time you think of that entity and send love, it receives it, and interactions often come in dream time when you let down your idea of limitation.

What you meet at death is strongly shaped by belief. Whatever the individual's strongest belief system was at the point of death will usually be what they experience at that moment, because at death you become a thought form in a world of thought form. The state of bliss, in this framing, is the willingness to recognize that you utterly create the reality you experience around you based on the strongest belief you hold about what that reality will be.

## Reincarnation reframed as simultaneous incarnation

The core reframe is that what is called reincarnation is actually a perspective on multiple simultaneous incarnations. Every life exists now as itself; it feels like a memory only because of your space-time point of view, but it is actually a cross-connection happening right now because all those lives exist right now. Apparent past lives are therefore not you in a previous form — they are distinct simultaneous persons, extensions of the same oversoul: "It is not reincarnation, it's multiple simultaneous incarnations, and every single one of those incarnations is a different person. They're not you, you're not them."

This also reframes the question of origin. Because all your lives exist simultaneously, the question "where do I originate from?" is misleading — you do not originate from anywhere and you originate from everywhere. What feels like an origin in a given life is only a connection you make from the here-and-now to energies that reflect the path you chose in that life; another life may make a different connection and seem to have a different origin.

## Identity persists through the transition

A key reassurance in the teaching is that harmonization with All That Is does not dissolve the identity — it expands it. The very fact that you have an identity at all means the identity is always present; you will always be you, no matter what form you exist in, no matter what level you exist on. After physical death you can create the experience of reincarnation, but that is not what is mechanically happening with the structure of existence; you are shifting your point of view to have a different kind of experience, and the you that you are now does not go away — this you will always be this you.

For many in the current cycle, Bashar adds, this physical life is linearly the last in the Earth plane — because this is the age of transformation and transition — though many will choose to remain in spirit to assist the next phase.

## Clinging spirits and shared agreements

Some individuals, because of what they were brought up to believe, do not know what to make of death and cling to what they knew, sometimes attaching to a living person with whom they have had agreements in other lives to intertwine your lives and be reflections for one another. Bashar's suggested response is to send unconditional love and radiate the fullness of your passion and compassion; when the spirit perceives that radiance, it can trigger something within them that allows them to let go and expand. The attachment itself may be part of the shared agreement — allowing a portion of that consciousness to go along for the ride and learn, even non-physically, how to let go.

## Practical implications

Bashar's death-and-reincarnation teaching is metaphysical framing, not a medical, psychological, or clinical grief protocol; it does not replace end-of-life care, bereavement support, or treatment for any condition. As teaching, it offers several practical levers. First, it reframes grief and continued relationship: because the identity persists and interactions often come in dream time, sending love to a deceased person is presented as genuinely received by them, which can shift the experience of loss from final severance to ongoing (if differently mediated) contact.

> — Life Is But A Dream (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/life-is-but-a-dream)

Second, it offers a diagnostic for beliefs about death — both one's own and those of a person who has passed. Because the immediate post-death experience is shaped by the strongest belief at the moment of death, the work of clarifying beliefs about death is treated as practical preparation for the transition itself, not merely philosophical.

> — Karmic Template (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/karmic-template)

Third, it reframes a clinging or troubling attachment as a shared agreement rather than an attack, with radiating one's own fullness as the recommended response rather than confrontation.

> — Planetary Midwife (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/planetary-midwife)

The simultaneous-incarnation framing also has an ethical dimension: treating an apparent "past life" as a living, distinct simultaneous person rather than as a prior version of yourself changes both how you relate to that life and how you locate your present agency — your leverage is always in the present, never in revising a past.
