# Doubt

Doubt, in Bashar's teaching, is not the absence of trust — there is no such thing. You are always trusting, 100%, in something; what you call doubt is simply total trust placed in a definition or reality you do not prefer. The remedy is never to "learn to trust," which you already do, but to redirect the same infinite trust you have been aiming at an unwanted outcome toward the positive one. The brighter you shine in your certainty of the preferred reality, the less room there is for even one shadow of a doubt.

## Doubt is 100% trust in an unwanted definition

The core redefinition appears, almost verbatim, across many sessions. "Most people define doubt as a lack of trust. That's not the definition of doubt on our planet. Doubt is a 100% unfailing, unswerving, unwavering trust in a belief and a definition that's out of alignment with your truth." Bashar's point is that no one ever, ever doesn't trust something to be true — the question is never whether you trust, it is what you are trusting in.

The same definition recurs wherever the topic arises. "Doubt is not a lack of trust. What you call doubt is an absolute infinite one hundred percent trust in a negative reality — you are saying you believe that the negative reality has more power to manifest than the positive reality you desire."

> — Release of Emotions and Evolution of Consciousness (Japan) (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/release-of-emotions-and-evolution-of-consciousness-japan)

And again, more compactly: "Doubt is a one hundred percent trust in a belief you don't prefer."

> — Simultaneity Of Existence (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/simultaneity-of-existence)

The word "doubt" describes not a shortage of trust but its direction.

## The question is what you trust, not whether you do

Once doubt is reframed as full trust in an unwanted definition, the practical work changes completely. Your planet, Bashar says, "thinks by doubting you have to learn how to trust. We already know you trust 100% of the time. The question is not learning how to trust — it's what are you putting your trust in? You never, ever don't trust something to be true." Trust is innate, automatic, built in; you cannot fail to do it. The only leverage you have is to choose what definition receives that 100% trust.

> — A Sudden Observable Shift (qa-20), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/a-sudden-observable-shift)

This is why Bashar can treat the path out of doubt as a redirection rather than an acquisition. "You do not have to learn something you don't already know; you can take the very same trust you have been placing in the negative reality and redirect it to the positive reality." The capacity for total trust is already fully present; it has simply been pointed at an unwanted definition.

## The mechanics: definition → frequency → reflection

In Spirit Guides Bashar grounds the redefinition in his broader metaphysics. After redefining doubt as "a 100% unswerving, absolute and total trust in a definition that doesn't work for you," he adds: "no one ever, ever, ever, ever doesn't trust. You always have 100% trust. Trust is not something you have to learn how to do. It's innate. It's automatic. It's second nature. … The question is what definition of reality have you placed your trust in? Because that's the reality you'll get. Because there is no reality, except your definition of it." The chain is: definition → frequency/vibration → reflected reality (the Third Absolute, "what you put out is what you get back").

So doubt is not a feeling to be argued out of; it is a definition that is generating a frequency, which is generating a reflection. To shift the reflection, identify and shift the definition that your trust is locked onto.

## Exploring the definition until it is seen to be illogical

When someone asks what to do with doubt while trying to act, Bashar's instruction is to bring the trusted definition fully into view. "Explore what doubt is. In that sense, explode it, explore it, expose it to yourself for what the definitions are within you that create the experience you call doubt, so that you can identify consciously how the mechanism of that works and realize that it's actually all about trust." Once the unwanted definition is conscious, it can be examined: "Bring that belief into conscious identification. Realize it has nothing to do with you. Seeing it as nonsensical and illogical, let it go."

> — How The Nature Of Existence Works Path Of Least Resistance (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/how-the-nature-of-existence-works-path-of-least-resistance)

The same move appears when a participant says they doubt their own channeling even while trusting Bashar's. "You have to use your imagination to put yourself in the appropriate state to be an appropriate receiver, so in that sense you made yourself up to be capable of receiving what is also truly being sent. Decide what you wish to trust in, and then act accordingly, and it will be so."

> — Simultaneity Of Existence (qa-5), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/simultaneity-of-existence)

Doubting yourself while trusting another is the same trust pointed at the definition "the information can come through them, but not through me." Redirect the trust to "I am an appropriate receiver" and act on it.

## Tracing a limiting belief to its root

When doubt is layered on top of fear of the unknown, Bashar's instruction is to trace the chain of beliefs backward to the first one. "Trace it all the way back until you find the primal belief. Start at the beginning and change that one and work your way back up. It's not difficult. Can be fun. If you let it." The grounding for that trace is self-worth: "If you didn't deserve that love, what makes you think you would exist? Creation obviously believes you deserve to exist, obviously believes you are worthy of all the love of the infinite."

> — Healing Of All Disease Benefit For Margo (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/healing-of-all-disease-benefit-for-margo)

Doubt about one's own capacity is thus traced to a primal belief about one's own worth, which is then re-grounded in the fact of existing at all.

## Practical implications

Treat doubt as redirection, not failure. When you notice doubt, the useful question is not "how do I learn to trust?" but "what unwanted definition am I giving 100% trust to right now?" Trust is already fully operational; only its target is misplaced.

> — Release of Emotions and Evolution of Consciousness (Japan) (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/release-of-emotions-and-evolution-of-consciousness-japan)

Bring the definition into view. Expose the trusted definition consciously — write it down, say it aloud — until you can see that it is nonsensical or self-cancelling. Letting it go follows naturally once it is seen clearly.

> — How The Nature Of Existence Works Path Of Least Resistance (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/how-the-nature-of-existence-works-path-of-least-resistance)

Aim the same trust at the preferred definition. You don't have to manufacture a new capacity; redirect the existing 100% trust onto the definition you prefer and act on it. The reflection will follow.

> — Abundance Evolving Times (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/abundance-evolving-times)

Trace layered doubt to the primal belief. When doubt feels tangled with fear or unworthiness, trace the chain back to the first belief (often about whether you deserve to exist) and change that one, then work forward again.

> — Healing Of All Disease Benefit For Margo (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/healing-of-all-disease-benefit-for-margo)

Don't confuse doubting yourself with doubting others. Doubting your own channeling, intuition, or creations while trusting the same capacity in someone else is the same trust pointed at "not me"; the remedy is the same: decide what to trust and act on it.

## Representative passages

Most people define doubt as a lack of trust. That's not the definition of doubt on our planet. Doubt is a 100% unfailing, unswerving, unwavering trust in a belief and a definition that's out of alignment with your truth. The profound difference is this: your planet thinks by doubting you have to learn how to trust. We already know you trust 100% of the time. The question is not learning how to trust — it's what are you putting your trust in? You never, ever don't trust something to be true.— Bashar,

Doubt is not a lack of trust. What you call doubt is an absolute infinite one hundred percent trust in a negative reality — you are saying you believe that the negative reality has more power to manifest than the positive reality you desire. You do not have to learn something you don't already know; you can take the very same trust you have been placing in the negative reality and redirect it to the positive reality.— Bashar,

Doubt … A 100% unswerving, absolute and total trust in a definition that doesn't work for you. … no one ever, ever, ever, ever doesn't trust. You always have 100% trust. Trust is not something you have to learn how to do. It's innate. It's automatic. It's second nature. … The question is what definition of reality have you placed your trust in? Because that's the reality you'll get. Because there is no reality, except your definition of it.— Bashar,

Doubt is a 100% trust in a reality you don't prefer. Big difference. … It's a trust in a reality, in a belief, in a definition other than the one you want. That's it. You never, never, never don't trust. You always trust in something. … you're always buying into some belief, some definition, you are trusting something, and when you trust, you trust 100%.— Bashar,

Explore what doubt is. In that sense, explode it, explore it, expose it to yourself for what the definitions are within you that create the experience you call doubt … Bring that belief into conscious identification. Realize it has nothing to do with you. Seeing it as nonsensical and illogical, let it go.— Bashar,
