# Dream Reality

Dream reality, in Bashar's teaching, is not a separate realm set against the waking world; it is one facet of the same one reality, alongside imagination and physical reality — different ways All-That-Is has of looking at itself through you. The distinction you experience between "dream" and "real" is a matter of vibration and relevance, not of ontology: anything you can imagine is real in some way, and the practical question is whether it is relevant to the reality you are choosing to live.

Because physical reality is itself a kind of dream — the one you have most strongly agreed to call real — the same conscious choosing that shapes a dream can shape waking experience, and the gap between the two can narrow until, as Bashar describes his own civilization, you are "always asleep and always awake."

## The template-level reality: where the blueprint is built

The structural key Bashar gives for dream reality is the template-level reality: the border between the non-physical higher mind and the physical mind. When the soul incarnates, it splits itself into a higher mind (which stays non-physical, "like someone standing on the mountaintop" to give a broad view) and a physical mind (down "in the valley"); between the two is the template level, where the soul and higher mind lay out the blueprint — the themes, agreements, and architecture of what will manifest physically.

When you go into a dream state you go, in a sense, to this template level; the whole dream already exists right now, and the physical mind "spools it out" into a linear story only so it can make sense of an experience that was actually had all at once.

This is why a dream can preview a physical event that has not yet been perceived: it has already happened at the template level, where all things exist now, and is simply "up the line" for physical recognition.

Some dreams — especially the strange, untranslatable, or time-distorted ones — are not processing the day's residue but actual experiences in higher-density or interdimensional states. A night that seems to pass in ten minutes of sleep can mark a shift beyond the ordinary space-time framework, into fourth, fifth, or sixth density planes where you interact with other beings and with other versions of yourself, gleaning information to download into the physical personality.

When the physical self has no space-time analogy for what happened, it registers a blank or a bizarre symbol — not because nothing occurred, but because the physical mind has no clean translation for it.

## Lucidity narrows the gap between dream and waking life

The central practical lever in Bashar's dream teaching is lucidity. The difficulty of returning from a vivid dream to waking — the sense of pushing through molasses — comes from physical reality being denser; you are lowering your vibration to reinsert. The remedy is to develop a higher degree of lucidity in the dream, because once you do, you can allow a correspondingly higher degree of lucidity in physical life, making the physical more compatible with your reinsertion and "creating less and less difference between the two, until they, in a sense, become one reality."

> — The Higher The Lucidity In The Dream The Higher Lucidity In Life (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/the-higher-the-lucidity-in-the-dream-the-higher-lucidity-in-life)

Lucidity is not random wishfulness; it is the capacity to wake up closer to the higher-mind expression, in the template-level reality where the blueprint can actually be rearranged.

This is what Bashar says his civilization did: once they learned to be truly lucid in the dream they "never went back," and altered the physical-reality blueprint to align with that lucidity — which is why they "never sleep" and live, in effect, inside the dream.

## Blending dream and physical reality as vibration raises

As limiting beliefs are transformed, physical matter reality assimilates toward the dream state. The shift is felt at first as disorientation: physical reality looks "a little flat, a little unrealistic, or surreal." Bashar calls this the first indication that the two energies are blending — the dream and the physical are no longer as differentiated as they have been, and life begins to feel fluid, "as if you are living a dream."

> — Physical To Dream Reality (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/physical-to-dream-reality)

The mechanism is definitional: physical reality is the strongest dream you hold, the product of your strongest beliefs, so as you relax the rigid definitions you were taught, the structure of physical reality relaxes with it and spacetime becomes more plastic.

> — Life Is But A Dream (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/life-is-but-a-dream)

The underlying physics is the mirror: what you put out is what you get back, so when the definitions change, the reflection must follow.

## Practical implications

A learner can work with dream reality without needing to classify every dream. Bashar's framing makes the practical question relevance, not reality-vs-dream: ask what degree of relevance an experience has for your life and apply it accordingly, rather than getting stuck debating whether it was "real."

> — In Hypnosis What Is The Difference Between Reality And A Dream (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/in-hypnosis-what-is-the-difference-between-reality-and-a-dream)

Several specific practices follow from the transcripts:

Use permission slips for lucidity. Many techniques and technologies exist on Earth (Bashar names the rapid-eye-movement mask as one) that train you to recognize you are dreaming and wake up inside the template-level reality, where the blueprint can be consciously rearranged.

> — Monologue Dream A Little Dream (text), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/monologue-dream-a-little-dream)

Decode symbols as yourself. Because everything in a dream is a projection of your own consciousness, the most direct reading is to treat each symbol as a facet of you; the meaning behind the symbol comes clear once you stop treating the figures in the dream as external.

Retrieve information from altered-state experiences. When a dream or short-sleep experience carries information you cannot translate, return toward that state in wakeful meditation — not all the way to sleep — and ask the higher mind for an interpretation your physical mind can use; let the pieces arrive without forcing them to make immediate sense.

> — Dream Experience Traveling To Other Dimensions (qa-4), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/dream-experience-traveling-to-other-dimensions)

Read surrealness as progress, not malfunction. If waking life begins to feel flat or dreamlike, treat it as the first sign of blending rather than a symptom to fix; the work is to continue aligning definitions and motivations, not to tighten your grip on the old structure.

> — Physical To Dream Reality (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/physical-to-dream-reality)

These practices are framed as inner alignment and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial care; persistent sleep disturbance, dissociation, or distress warrants qualified support.

## Representative passages

Very much so. There may remain for a little while some degree of differentiation, but in no way, shape, or form does there have to be as much as there has been. You will be able to truly feel as if you are living a dream; things will seem a little more fluid. Perhaps at first the way you will experience this shift is as a disorientation — feeling that your physical reality somehow looks a little flat, a little unrealistic, or surreal. This is the first indication that you are blending the energies together.— Bashar,

When you go into a dream state, you're going, in a sense, to the template-level reality. And if you are lucid in it and understand that you're awake in the dream, then you can actually use the template-level reality blueprint to rearrange and reorganize the physical reality that you re-insert yourself back into. … This is what our civilization has done: once we allowed ourselves to understand how to become truly lucid in the dream state, we never went back.— Bashar,

Anything you can imagine is in some way, shape, or form a reality. The question is not, is it real; the question is, is it relevant to your reality?— Bashar,

It did not actually happen in this experience. It has happened in the template level reality, since all things exist now, but you have not perceived it yet as a manifestation in your physical level. But it is up the line.— Bashar,
