# Emotionality & Releasing Emotion

> Emotional release works through activation principle that rearranges persona by identifying underlying beliefs while venting alone is insufficient and shell layers of synthetic emotion obscure the original messenger.

# Emotionality & Releasing Emotion

*A current of color reveals a hidden pattern inside a crystal chamber*

Bashar frames emotion as the activation principle of the personality — the energy that builds the belief-blueprint into experienced reality. Working with emotion therefore means working with the most powerful lever in the personality structure, not with a symptom to be subdued. "Emotions are literally energy in motion," and because emotion is what activates the blueprint, clear use and clear direction of it is one of the strongest ways to rearrange the persona.

## The personality as a three-sided prism

Across two parallel sessions Bashar gives the same model: the personality is a prism with three aspects — belief, emotion, and thought pattern. "Belief is like the blueprint of your reality; emotion is the activator, the builder of the blueprint, energy in motion; and thought pattern is the style in which the blueprint is manifested. Emotion being the activation principle carries most of the energy; by clear use and clear direction of your emotion, you can transform the blueprint, the belief, and the thought patterns of your lives into what you desire them to be.

The same session stresses that because the construct is temporary, it can be rearranged at any time — a change in any of the three aspects changes what is experienced.

The companion framing in The Same Road adds the explicit sequence: "Belief is like the blueprint of your reality. Emotion is the activator, the builder of the blueprint. Thought pattern is the style in which the blueprint is manifested.

> — The Same Road (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/the-same-road)

And a related session makes the ordering even sharper: "belief always comes before emotion, and emotion always comes before thought.

## Every feeling traces to a belief

Because belief precedes emotion, Bashar treats every feeling as a pointer to the belief that produced it. "All emotions, without exception, all feelings only exist because there is a belief that exists first. Acknowledge the feeling, then ask: what would I have to believe is true about my relationship to this situation in order for me to have this feeling? Identify the belief, and when you find out why you had it, you can let that go and change it for something you prefer — and the new belief will generate a feeling you prefer, thoughts you prefer, and behavior you prefer.

The monologue Knowing the Difference Between Positive and Negative Feelings states the practical corollary directly: "Pay attention to your emotions. Pay attention to your thoughts, pay attention to your behaviors, because your behaviors, your thoughts, and your emotions are always the result of something you believe to be true.

The instruction is to look honestly at the feeling, find the negative belief underneath it, and change that belief — rather than push the feeling away, which "will only come back stronger next time.

## Venting is not the same as releasing

Bashar draws an explicit line between emotional release and mere venting. "You have to get to the source of the definition implanted within your belief system matrix that allowed you to interpret the circumstance in that emotional way, because emotions are secondary responses to something you already believe to be true. While the emotional outburst can be helpful in the healing process as an indicator of where you need to look, in and of itself it is not sufficient for healing, only the indicator to put you in touch with the true core issue.

The outburst points; only finding and changing the underlying belief resolves.

A complementary practice is named in Shattering Old Patterns. "Go back through your life, to feel those times, to recapture those times, to express those times, and to allow yourself to live through those times now in the way you wish you could have done then but didn't, but weren't allowed to. To play the whole scenario through that you could not play through then. It is a very powerful way to begin to break down all of those ancient ingrained, unconscious, emotionally locked habits.

> — Shattering Old Patterns (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/shattering-old-patterns)

The instruction is to feel the previously suppressed emotion in unconditional love, "not out of spite, not out of attack, not out of negativity" — a deliberate, boundaried release rather than an acting-out.

## Emotions as messengers, and the trap of "shell" layers

A revealing framing appears in Self Created Journey: other civilizations call Earth humans "the shell people" because of a specific pattern. "Many civilizations experience the same range of emotionality you do, but they allow themselves to view their emotions as messengers bringing them gifts, and move through them very quickly. The idea of 'shell people' comes from this: when you do not allow yourself to relate directly to your emotion — anger, fear — you create a synthetic emotion to relate to it: guilt, frustration, not real emotions. Then you create another shell of analysis to analyze your guilt, removing yourself farther and farther away from your initial emotionality, away from your spontaneous creative source. Emotions are messengers bringing you gifts; when you allow them to do their job they lose their ability to cause friction.

> — Self Created Journey (qa-4), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/self-created-journey)

The teaching inverts the usual instinct: instead of analyzing the secondary guilt or frustration, return to the original emotion, receive it as a messenger, and let it complete its delivery.

## Practical implications

The transcripts support several practices. None of this is clinical psychotherapy or a substitute for trauma-informed care; where emotion is persistent, overwhelming, or tied to harm, professional support remains the appropriate resource.

When a feeling is strong, treat it as a pointer. Ask what you would have to believe — about yourself, about the situation — for that feeling to make sense. The belief is the lever; the feeling is the indicator.

> — Permission Slips (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/permission-slips)

Use the prism sequence as a diagnostic. Belief first, emotion second, thought third; working at the belief level changes the whole chain.

> — Physical To Dream Reality (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/physical-to-dream-reality)

> — The Same Road (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/the-same-road)

Distinguish release from venting. An emotional outburst can show you where to look, but only finding and changing the underlying belief resolves the pattern.

> — Preparer Of The Way (qa-1), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/preparer-of-the-way)

Where old emotion was suppressed at the time, the transcripts suggest revisiting the moment in imagination and allowing yourself to finally feel and express what could not be expressed then — in unconditional love, not in attack.

> — Shattering Old Patterns (qa-3), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/shattering-old-patterns)

Catch the shell pattern. If you find yourself analyzing guilt about frustration about anger, return to the original messenger emotion and let it do its job; synthetic layers are what create the friction.

> — Self Created Journey (qa-4), [Source](https://sassani.app/source-transmissions/self-created-journey)

Face negative beliefs honestly rather than burying them. "If you push it down and push it away or ignore it or bury it, then it will only come back stronger next time.
