The accounts of it are channeled descriptions, not independently verified observations; they are presented here as Bashar's attributed teaching about his own people, alongside his invitation to treat them as a reflection rather than as proven fact. In his telling, Essassani is a green, park-like planet slightly smaller than Earth, whose people are evolving from physicality toward non-physicality and live as one coordinated society within a larger Association of Worlds. ## The planet and its people Bashar describes Essassani as slightly smaller than Earth, with slightly lower gravity and a mild, nearly seasonless climate — the pole-axis tilt is slight, there is no moon, and most of the surface is ocean rather than large land masses. The oxygen and water content are a little higher than Earth's, so a visitor would feel briefly dizzy before adjusting. There are no built-up structures on the surface; the planet is left in a natural state and the cities are spaceships, with much of the society aboard craft at any given moment. The people are around five feet tall, slender, with whitish-gray skin and wide, upturned eyes; males have no hair and females have hair that tends toward white. Bashar locates their star, in galactic coordinates, roughly 500 light-years toward the Orion constellation — but in a different dimensional plane, so each civilization must make an adjustment to see the other's star. Animal life on Essassani is symbiotic rather than predatory: animals do not eat one another but absorb energy directly and form bonds that allow energy exchange. This mirrors the civilization's own trajectory: they did once eat, sleep, and procreate much as humans do, but as they have evolved toward non-physicality they have let each of those functions go. ## Becoming quasi-physical: food, sleep, reproduction The Essassani no longer eat, sleep, or — in Bashar's words — "almost" breathe; they subsist directly on the energy of creation while retaining what he calls a quasi-physical body with elements of both physicality and spirit. The path to that state, he says, is the same one he teaches humans: "You evolve by acting to the best of your ability on your highest passion every moment that you can." Their diet, in the deeper past, was vegetarian and consolidated over time to a single vegetable — the closest Earth analogue being something like a lima bean — until they no longer required it and could absorb energy directly. Reproduction has shifted from physical procreation to a collective act: when a new life form is desired, the participating beings create an energy bubble in which that new form simply manifests. ## The Shikana: a civilization woken in three days Every world, Bashar says, has a collective world-spirit; Earth's has manifested many times (the Christ consciousness, the Buddha nature, Wavoka), and Essassani's manifested once, in what his ancient language calls the Shikana (also rendered "Chakana"). In his account the Shikana took physical form for three days, and because the Essassani were not as steeped in separation as human society, those three days were enough for the entire race to connect telepathically with it; from that point forward the Shikana became non-physical and imbued each of them, waking the civilization to function as a unit. He describes this as the symbolic and pictorial representation of the Essassani signature frequency; focusing on it is one way to tap into their collective consensus, and the image may be adapted freely by the individual's imagination. The connection is framed as a state of being to act from rather than a circumstance to obtain: what matters is what you do with the vibrational state the symbol evokes, because "knowing and action are synonymous." ## Practical implications The Essassani accounts are presented as Bashar's description of his own civilization, not as verified history a learner must believe or replicate.
