# Excitement

Excitement, in Bashar's teaching, is not a mood. It is the physical translation of the vibration of your true self — your body's translation of communication from the higher mind, appearing as the sensations you call excitement, creativity, love, passion, and joy.

Because it is the frequency of who you actually are, Bashar treats excitement as a compass and a complete guidance system, not as a peak to chase. The central instruction he gives is a precise three-part formula, and he is emphatic that it is meant to be applied exactly as stated.

## The three-part formula

Bashar states the formula in a single sentence and asks that it be followed intact: act on your highest passion every moment that you can, to the best of your ability, taking it as far as you can until you can take it no further, with absolutely zero insistence or assumption as to what the outcome ought to be.

Each clause does specific work, and he spends a whole session unpacking them because, in his view, most failures of "following your excitement" come from dropping or distorting one of the three parts.

The first part — act on the opportunity that contains the highest excitement — does not require a life-spanning career or a long-term project "with trumpets blowing." It can be as simple as choosing, among the options available right now, the one that contains even a little more excitement than the others — reading a book, having lunch with a friend, taking a walk. The option with the most excitement that you can actually act on is the first one to act on, step by step, and that simple repetition leads to larger expressions of excitement over time.

A crucial sub-clause is discernment: check your beliefs to make sure you are not making anxiety appear to be excitement (glossing fear over with the word "excitement"), and, reciprocally, making excitement appear to be anxiety through fear-based definitions of what will happen if you act on it.

The second part — to the best of your ability — means using all your skills, talents, imagination, and abilities, and taking the action to the fullest degree you are able, exhausting every avenue until you can take it no further.

Ability is bounded by real constraints: physical parameters, laws of society, and moral and ethical standards all indicate whether you actually have the ability to take an action, and a wall you cannot pass is not an obstacle but an arrow pointing you to the path of least resistance.

When one excitement is genuinely exhausted, you do not stop — you choose the next most exciting thing you can act on and repeat the process.

The third part — zero insistence on the outcome — is the most counter-intuitive and the most often misunderstood. Insisting on a particular manifestation, even one you have visualized in detail, can actually prevent a better one: your physical mind is not designed to know how something needs to happen, only to experience what is happening now; only the higher mind knows the true path.

Bashar's instruction is to use visualization to pump up the vibration, and then, at the peak of excitement, drop the picture and keep the vibration — making room for a manifestation the higher mind can bring that may be far grander than the physical mind could imagine.

A surprising corollary: the thing that excites you may not need to come to fruition at all. Its job may only be to get you moving, so that the thing which actually needs to manifest can appear once you have momentum.

## Excitement as a complete toolkit

When the three parts are applied together with integrity, Bashar says you activate the complete toolkit of excitement — a self-guiding, self-correcting, self-perpetuating system that "leaves nothing relevant out."

The toolkit works as several functions at once:

The driving engine — the energy that moves and accelerates you through life.

The organizing principle — through synchronicity, it shows you exactly what needs to be done, in what order, and when; whatever does not get done by the end of an excited day didn't need to be done that day.

The path of least resistance — excitement connects you to all other expressions of excitement even when they look unconnected on the surface; it is the excitement itself that tells you they are connected.

Support and abundance — it gives you support in whatever form is needed, and Bashar explicitly warns against insisting that abundance must come as money; being gifted something is also a form of abundance, and insisting on one form closes the doors other forms would come through.

The reflective mirror — as you act on excitement, the toolkit brings up to the surface any negative, fear-based belief in the subconscious or unconscious that is out of alignment with your true vibration. When fear arises during excited action, that is not a malfunction — it is the system doing its job, surfacing the belief so you can see it does not belong to you and let it go, adding its energy back into your excitement.

Excitement, in this framing, need not look like bouncing off the walls. Bashar is explicit that excitement can be "a sense of balanced peace," a relaxed, meditative state — the signal is what matters, not its volume.

## Excitement as a yes-or-no answer

Because excitement is the body's translation of the higher mind's guidance, it also functions as a direct answer to questions of path and purpose. Asked whether one is "supposed to" teach a given subject, Bashar's reply reduces the whole question to a single test: "Is that what excites you? — Then you have your answer."

This is the same logic by which he frames the Essassani evolutionary path: "You evolve by acting to the best of your ability on your highest passion every moment that you can."

And it is the same logic by which he advises someone seeking to deepen telepathic contact: act on your highest excitement with no expectation of outcome, and you become "the most receptive antenna" for further information when you are ready for it.

## Practical implications

The formula is meant to be operational, not inspirational. The transcripts support a concrete practice loop:

At every moment, scan available options and act on the one with the most excitement that you can actually do — even if only slightly more than the others, and even if it is small.

Take it as far as you can until you genuinely cannot take it further, then pick the next most exciting option and repeat.

Drop the picture, keep the vibration. Use visualization to amp up the state, then release insistence on the specific outcome so a better manifestation can arrive.

Treat obstacles as directions. A physical, legal, or ethical wall you cannot pass is an arrow turning you toward the path of least resistance, not a failure.

Treat fear surfacing during excited action as the mirror working. Identify the negative belief consciously; once seen for what it is, its energy returns to your excitement.

Discern excitement from anxiety. Check beliefs both ways: do not relabel anxiety as excitement to avoid fear, and do not relabel excitement as anxiety through fear-based definitions of what acting on it would mean.

These practices are inner guidance for aligning action with one's sense of calling; they are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and nothing here should be read as direction to disregard laws, ethics, or care.

## Representative passages

Excitement is the vibration, your physical translation of the vibration of your true self, your true frequency. It is also your physical body's translation of communication from the higher mind. … The three-part formula being that you act on your highest passion, every moment that you can, to the best of your ability, taking it as far as you can until you can take it no further, with absolutely zero insistence or assumption as to what the outcome ought to be.— Bashar, The Formula (the-formula#text)

When you amp yourself up, when you get yourself really excited by having that particular visualization that your physical mind was capable of conjuring, and you feel at the peak of excitement, drop the picture, utterly, zero insistence, zero assumption that it has to look like that … But keep the vibration, the state of being, of excitement. Then you are the driving engine itself that you have now made room for the manifestation that the higher mind can bring to you that is actually representative of that state of excitement, which may be far grander than your physical mind was capable of visualizing.— Bashar, The Formula (the-formula#text)

Excitement is a complete kit. It's the driving engine and the organizing principle of your life. When you are willing to know that that's how the machine works and you're willing to act on your highest excitement, taking it as far as you can every moment until you can take it no further and then acting on the next most exciting thing you're capable of acting on with absolutely zero expectation or insistence on exactly what the outcome should be, then excitement can work for you.— Bashar, Acting On Your Highest Excitement For Transformation (acting-on-your-highest-excitement-for-transformation#text)

Is that what excites you? It is what excites me, yes. Then you have your answer. There it is.— Bashar, Always Follow Your Highest Joy (always-follow-your-highest-joy#qa-1)
