# Existence

Existence, in Bashar's teaching, is the most fundamental fact — the background every other question is asked against. The sessions tagged here approach it as a metaphysical claim rather than an empirical one: existence simply is, and the consequence of really taking that in runs through knowingness, time, creation, identity, and unconditional love.

## Existence is not optional, and "non-existence" does not exist

The sessions return again and again to one move: when you ask "why does anything exist rather than nothing?", you are quietly assuming that not-existing was a real option. Bashar's answer is that the assumption fails by definition.

Existence is not subject to time. Creation always was, is now, always will be; "before" and "after" belong inside creation and are subject to existence, not the other way around. So from a linear viewpoint what is "always has been and always will be," although that phrasing itself only points at the simpler fact that what is, simply is, now.

The reason "non-existence" can never be experienced is definitional: by definition, existence is the only thing that can exist; non-existence doesn't exist. That does not mean non-existence is not real — Bashar is careful to say both existence and non-existence are real, as primary polarities — but because non-existence by definition does not allow perception of itself, you have no apparatus to experience it. Anything you can conceive, label, or feel — even a sense of void or nothingness — is something, and therefore a part of existence. You cannot imagine non-existence; if you were able to visit it and return, you would never know you had been gone.

This is also why the question "what was there before creation?" dissolves: creation always was. Time, and the very concept of purpose, are themselves creations of All That Is. All That Is existed before the creation of the idea of "purpose" — so that which existed before purpose was created does not need a purpose to continue to exist. It simply is what it is.

## The One, the All, and the Isness

Bashar maps existence through a Trinity: the One, the All, and the Isness. The One has no vehicle for experience — it is homogenous, has no self-reference, no reflection, and is therefore unknowable to itself. But because the One contains everything, it also contains the concept of reflection, and from that point reflection is created, turning the One into the All That Is — the portion that is aware of itself as everything and is therefore conscious. To know yourself, Bashar says, you have to have a reflective quality.

The third leg of the Trinity is you — the individuations within All That Is. All That Is knows itself simultaneously as one singular identity and as an infinite number of individual identities, and that double-knowing is the third part. So the Trinity reads: the One, the All, the That Is.

A parallel session frames the same structure in terms of "nothing, something, everything." First there is everything. Within everything, there is nothing and something. Neither nothing nor something is everything on its own; together they are required to complete the broader concept. So even though perception suggests everything began with nothing, nothing could not remain stable — it had to give birth to something in order to complete the concept of everything.

## Nothing is outside of All That Is

A consistent boundary in these sessions: there is nothing outside of All That Is. Any description — God, creator, a "higher" level — is simply All That Is on a different level. You can outgrow any limited representation of divinity, but you can never expand beyond All That Is itself.

The same applies to "unmanifested" life. Everything already exists; everything is already, in a sense, manifest, even when you do not perceive it as manifest. The so-called unmanifested becomes experience not by appearing, but by your matching the vibration of what is already here — then you perceive it, because you now match it.

Pushed to its limit, this means there is no actual lack of manifestation — only the experience of the appearance of it, which is itself, from All That Is's perspective, another manifestation within All That Is: the manifestation of the lack of manifestation.

## You exist, therefore eternally

Bashar uses the definitional argument to ground the eternity of the self. "Do you exist?" is the entire proof. You cannot become something that doesn't exist; non-existence, by definition, doesn't exist. So you are a perspective of All That Is, and that perspective never changes, because it is your core reflection, your core being.

Identity, on this view, is not dissolved by union with the larger reality — it is expanded. Harmonization with All That Is doesn't remove the identity; the very fact that you have an identity at all means the identity is always present. You will always be you, no matter in what form or on what level you exist.

## The frequency of existence is unconditional love

The sessions then identify the felt vibration of existence itself: what you call unconditional love, Bashar says, is actually the frequency of existence itself. "Unconditional" means without condition, whatsoever — so the vibratory frequency of existence translates in your reality as unconditional love, unconditional support, unconditional allowance. Aligning with that — expressing it — is the most highly aligned you can be with the very nature of existence. And it begins with you: if you find it difficult to express unconditional love, there is some aspect of yourself you are not yet loving unconditionally.

## Practical implications

Use "I am" as the anchor. Knowingness, in this material, is not a higher state to earn; it is the simple, unquestionable fact of your own existence. Stopping to remember I am is presented as sufficient to move beyond faith into knowing.

Stop looking for a purpose that existence itself does not need. All That Is existed before the creation of "purpose." You may create specific purposes, goals, and joys within a given life, but those are your preferences inside existence — not the reason existence is here. Confusing the two is what makes the spiritual search feel heavy.

Treat "I can't conceive of it" as evidence it is still something. Any void, blank, or "nothingness" you can name or feel is already a part of existence, because you are perceiving it. This reframes dry periods, limbo, and apparent emptiness not as the absence of existence but as neutral states.

Let unconditional self-love be the alignment test. Because existence's frequency is unconditional love, difficulty extending it outward signals an unloved aspect of self, not a failure of the world.

When fear of non-existence arises (including around death), return to the definition. You cannot become non-existent; identity remains and expands across any change of form.

These implications are offered as orientation within Bashar's framing, not as medical, psychological, or psychiatric guidance; readers navigating intense fear around death or existence should also seek appropriate professional support.

## Representative passages

Creation always was, is now, always will be. Time, the concept of before and after are something that belong within creation and are subject to existence. Existence is not subject to time. Therefore, in this way, what is? Simply always is.— Bashar, Why The Universe Exists (why-the-universe-exists#text)

It is not that existence and non-existence are not both real, but by definition existence is the only thing that can exist, non-existence doesn't exist. That does not mean it is not real. It simply means that by definition, non-existence doesn't exist. [...] You cannot imagine non-existence. In your reality, the only definition that you have is your perception of your participation in existence, because that is the only reality that allows you to have a perception.— Bashar, Why The Universe Exists (why-the-universe-exists#text)

The one has no vehicle for experience. It is unaware of itself. It has no self-reference. It is totally homogenous, thus has no reflection. But because it is the one and contains everything, it does contain the concept of reflection. [...] To know yourself, you have to have a reflective quality.— Bashar, The Trinity Of The One And All That Is (the-trinity-of-the-one-and-all-that-is#qa-1)

First there is everything. Within everything, there is nothing and something. Nothing isn't everything; neither is something. Together, you have to have them both to have everything.— Bashar, Nothing At All (nothing-at-all#qa-1)

Do you exist? Do you understand that you cannot become non-existent? By definition, non-existence doesn't exist. So how can you become something that doesn't exist? You are a perspective of All That Is. The perspective never changes because that's your core reflection, your core being.— Bashar, How Do I Know I Am An Eternal Being (how-do-i-know-i-am-an-eternal-being-multiple-simultaneous-incarnations#qa-1)

What you call in your frequency, unconditional love, is actually the vibration, the frequency of existence itself. [...] unconditional means unconditional, without condition, whatsoever. Therefore, understanding that the vibratory frequency of existence itself translates in your reality as unconditional love, unconditional support, unconditional allowance, thus then by aligning with that [...] you will be most highly aligned with the very nature of existence itself.— Bashar, Unconditional Love Is The Frequency Of Existence Itself (unconditional-love-is-the-frequency-of-existence-itself#qa-1)
