# Exploration

The two linked sources describe exploration as an activity that follows excitement and is conducted without judgment of what is encountered. The treatment in this corpus is brief; the chapter stays proportionate to that.

## Exploration as one expression of excitement

Asked what he does when interacting with Earth, Bashar lists exploration alongside other excitement-driven activities: reflecting and balancing energy, interacting, conversing, lucidly dreaming, taking trips, exploring other realities and civilizations, telling humans about some of those civilizations (and vice versa), and making art. The unifying principle is that all of these are done because they excite him — "I only do what excites me" — rather than because exploration is set apart as a separate duty.

Read this way, exploration is one shape excitement takes for an extraterrestrial consciousness whose day-to-day activities span many realms.

The same exchange adds the discriminator that keeps exploration from becoming judgmental cataloguing. There are things not in Bashar's preference, but that is treated as separate from whether he likes them, because all things are equal; he can recognize what he does not prefer without placing a value judgment on it.

Exploration, in this framing, is the movement of excitement through a field held neutral by non-judgment — you can go look at anything without having to condemn what you do not prefer or inflate what you do.

## A local invitation

The other linked source is a single short exchange in which a participant asks for "something I can go adventuring for, exploring" in the Santa Barbara area. Bashar's reply names a nearby area — Goleta — and immediately leaves the choice open: "Go there. Or not."

The exchange carries no broader teaching beyond the invitation itself; it models the same lightness as the longer session. Exploration is offered as an optional, low-pressure following of what is nearby, not as a requirement or an errand.

## Practical implications

Treat exploration as an activity that follows excitement rather than as a separate obligation; in the sessions it appears as one expression of acting on what excites you.

Recognize what you do and do not prefer without placing a value judgment on what is not preferred; this lets you explore broadly without collapsing the exploration into ranking.

When inviting exploration of what is nearby, the sessions model a deliberately light posture — the choice to go or not is left with the explorer.

## Representative passages

Reflecting energy, balancing energy, interacting, conversing, dreaming, lucidly with all of you. Taking trips, exploring other realities. Exploring other civilizations, interacting with other civilizations, telling them about all of you. Telling you about some of them. Doing art. All of these things excite me. I only do what excites me.— Bashar, Exploring With Other Civilizations Balancing And Reflecting Energy (exploring-with-other-civilizations-balancing-and-reflecting-energy#qa-1)

There are things that are not in my preference, but that has nothing to do with whether I like it or not, because all things are equal. I can recognize what I don't prefer without placing any kind of a value judgment on what I don't prefer.— Bashar, Exploring With Other Civilizations Balancing And Reflecting Energy (exploring-with-other-civilizations-balancing-and-reflecting-energy#qa-2)

A nearby area is called Goleta. Go there. Or not.— Bashar, Goleta Area Of Santa Barbara California (goleta-area-of-santa-barbara-california#qa-1)
