# Extraterrestrials

Bashar presents himself as a representative of an extraterrestrial civilization in preliminary diplomatic contact with Earth, and describes a wider field of interacting beings, hybrid races, and neighboring star civilizations. His account is unusual because it places humanity inside the field rather than outside it: humans are themselves originally extraterrestrial in origin, already hybridized, and the civilizations now making tentative contact are in many cases genetic kin.

## Humanity is itself originally extraterrestrial

A premise that shapes everything else Bashar says about contact: you were not placed here by aliens. The indigenous hominid species native to your planet was, to some degree, genetically altered long ago into the form you are now.

Because consciousness is older than physical Earth, no one is truly native to this world; in his framing, everyone is ultimately "from the stars." Many of the beings in the wider neighborhood, he says, look like you because you actually look like them — you share common genetic stock.

This is why Bashar treats the question of "are we alone" as already settled. You are not alone; you never were; the relevant question is when and how you will allow yourselves to know it.

## The greys: mutated humans from a parallel Earth

The beings most often reported in abduction accounts — the greys — are not, in Bashar's account, an extraterrestrial species. They are a mutated race of humans from a parallel Earth who destroyed their reality and lost the ability to reproduce. They tunneled into parallel Earths where viable human DNA still existed (this one among others) and took that DNA, by agreement on a higher level, to blend with their own and create a hybrid species — five hybrid races in all, of which Bashar's own civilization is one.

He is unflinching about why these encounters are often experienced as fearful. Many of the greys, having lost their emotional component, do not understand what an emotional fear reaction is, and so they do not always go about these interactions in the best way. They treat them as business as usual and do not understand the fuss. He explicitly does not excuse that — but he reframes it. The beings humans interact with in those scenarios are very often another version of the same soul in another incarnation, so people are interacting with themselves, by prior agreement, in service of creating the hybrid races that are also the next stage of evolution for this world.

Bashar prefers the term "temporary detainments" to "abductions," because they are all made by agreement and serve a common purpose: aiding the transformation of consciousness on Earth and dissolving the fear you have been brought up with.

## The hybrid children and the sixth hybrid race

The abduction phase is no longer the main mode. The program has moved into acclimatization. Many of the hybrid children created from those interactions will eventually be returned to Earth to live among you — first in safe enclaves, then out in the world when your society grows used to the idea. In about a thousand of your years, Bashar says, human beings will choose to no longer incarnate in the same form, and Earth will become the sixth hybrid civilization. Once that happens, all six hybrid civilizations will blend into a seventh hybrid race.

This is also the deeper reason Bashar's civilization is in contact at all. They are the offspring of the genetic blending; humans are in many ways their ancestors. By sharing information with you, they are returning the gift of life you gave them.

## The neighborhood: stars within twelve light years

Bashar gives a specific map of the immediate neighborhood. Because your solar system congealed out of one rich cloud of stellar matter, life on Earth implies life nearby: on average, you can expect roughly one civilization for every five to seven light years in your radius. Within about twelve light years, your closest neighbors are Alpha Centauri, Barnard's Star, Wolf 359 (where there is one indigenous life form unlike anything you would recognize as life and one observing species), Sirius, Epsilon Eridani, Epsilon Indi, and Tau Ceti.

The first civilization Earth is likely to make open contact with is a hybrid civilization called the Yayel — in Bashar's ancient language, the Shalanaaya. They are similar to Bashar's own civilization but more closely genetically connected to humanity, which is why they are positioned to go first.

## Two surprising neighbors: cetaceans and humans

Bashar closes the cosmological distance with a startling move. The closest alien civilization to you, he says, is on your own planet: the dolphins and the whales. You are a world with two sentient species living together. Cetaceans are highly telepathic, share many of your dream states, and in dreams you go on adventures with them as one society, one race — only in physical expression do you have two different types of body. There are no language barriers, because you are the same type of soul.

So the human race is already a multi-species civilization; it just has not yet recognized itself as one.

## Encounters, bases, and timing

Encounters with extraterrestrial beings sometimes involve the shifting of one's molecular rate to translate into another dimension, and memories of contact are sometimes suppressed — sometimes by mechanism, sometimes by timing — until a person relaxes into center enough to allow them.

Off-world beings also sometimes take up temporary visitation or residence on your planet to observe or experience certain things, and there are extraterrestrial bases on Earth, on the moon, and on several planets in the solar system.

The wider question of open contact is, in Bashar's framing, not a question of when they will be ready, but when you will. The most important job now, he says, is familiarizing yourselves with yourselves; only when you are equals to yourselves can you meet face to face as equals. As he reads the current energy, open contact with other civilizations (including his own) is most probable in the window you call 2025 to 2033 — a probability read from present energy, not a fixed prediction, because there is no such thing as a prediction of the future.

## Practical implications

Treat the question of "are we alone" as already settled. Bashar's account places humanity inside a populated neighborhood, itself the product of ancient genetic alteration. The work is not to find them; it is to become equal to yourselves so the contact can occur on equal footing.

If you carry abduction trauma, hear the reframe but do not use it to silence yourself. Bashar explicitly does not excuse the fear the greys' emotional blindness has caused; he contextualizes it within agreements made at a higher level. The contextualization is not a dismissal of genuine fear. It is an invitation to release the fear by understanding it differently.

Notice contact you may already be having. Dream-state interaction with cetaceans, telepathic check-ins, and encounters remembered only partially are presented as normal features of the current landscape, not anomalies.

Treat probabilities as probability reads, not predictions. Bashar's timing windows (2025–2033 for open contact, ~50 years for interstellar travel understanding, ~1000 years for Earth to become the sixth hybrid race) are read from current energy. If the energy changes, the outcome changes.

Distinguish Bashar's cosmological claims from matters of medical, legal, or physical safety. The framework does not tell you to ignore a real physical threat or to substitute channeling for verifiable information about your world. It presents a wider context for understanding contact; it does not require you to accept it on faith.

## Representative passages

The beings that you call the greys are not actually alien. They are a mutated race of humans from a parallel earth who have destroyed their reality and cannot perpetuate their society without viable human DNA from parallel worlds that are still viable, such as yours. [...] We are in many ways connected to you genetically. We are in many ways your offspring, you are in many ways our ancestors. In making this agreement, you have given us the gift of life, and that's why we are here sharing with you in any way we can to help, because we are returning the gift of life to you that you have given to us.— Bashar, Alien Abductions101Who Are The Greys (alien-abductions101who-are-the-greys#qa-1)

The closest alien civilization to you is on your very own planet — the dolphins and the whales. You are a planet with two different alien species right together on one world. They are highly telepathic, they share many of your dream states with you, and you go on many adventures in your dreams with them — you are one society, in a sense one race in your dreams. It is simply that in physical terminology you have two different types of body expression.— Bashar, The Et Neighborhood (the-et-neighborhood#qa-4)

It is most likely, most probable that open contact between your civilization and other civilizations, including our own, will happen sometime in the window of your time you call 2025 to 2033.— Bashar, Four Laws Of Creation (four-laws-of-creation#qa-1)
