# Focus

Focus is the art of directing attention beyond obstacles to the desired destination. Rather than becoming fixed on the intervening steps or the threshold itself, you keep your eyes on the state you wish to inhabit — the destination that already exists on the other side of the crossing. This applies whether you are drawing a line from point A to point C, breaking a board in martial practice, or crossing a collective planetary threshold such as the 2012 transition.

## The principle of looking beyond

When you attempt to draw a straight line, you do not follow the pencil with your eyes. You place your pencil at the starting point, look at the destination, and move directly there. The intervening point B is crossed automatically as you move toward C. Similarly, when breaking a board, those who understand the practice do not focus on the board itself — they focus beyond it, visualizing their hand already on the other side, and the board simply gets out of the way.

The bridge to 2013 represents this principle at a collective scale. By focusing on the state called 2013 — the parallel reality already representative of that frequency — you allow the crossing of the threshold to be effortless. The intervening steps take care of themselves when you do not fixate on asking "how do I get there?" at every moment, but instead keep your attention on the destination you have chosen.

## Crossing through joy and creativity

The bridge is not crossed through struggle, effort, or strain. It is crossed through joy, love, and creativity. When you allow yourself to enjoy the ride, enjoy the process of movement, and let go of fixation on the threshold itself, you streamline your energy and arrive at the parallel reality that is already representative of your chosen destination.

This is not about bypassing the necessary steps of your journey. It is about understanding that when your attention is properly directed — to the state of being you prefer — the journey unfolds naturally. The steps reveal themselves as you move, rather than becoming obstacles that you must mentally solve before taking action.

## Practical implications

Direct your attention to the destination state, not the obstacles between you and it.

When facing a threshold, focus on what lies beyond it rather than the threshold itself.

Trust that the necessary steps will emerge as you move toward your chosen frequency.

Allow the crossing to be effortless by releasing the need to mentally orchestrate every detail.

## Representative passages

"Building this bridge to 2013 is the idea of allowing you to streamline your energy, allowing you to move through the idea of the 2012 crossing of the threshold, to focus on the idea of 2013, and to allow the crossing of the threshold thus then to be effortless so that you can utilize that wave that we have been discussing and simply find yourself on the other side of the threshold, having tipped the scales with no struggle, no strife, no effort, enjoy in love, in creativity, to simply cross that bridge, span the threshold, and allow yourself to arrive to shift to the parallel reality that is already representative of the concept of 2013 and beyond."— Bashar, Monologue Building The Bridge To [2013] (monologue-building-the-bridge-to-2013#text)

"You simply put your pencil on A, look at C and just go there. You will see that you have crossed through B automatically. Similarly to what you call your martial arts practice of breaking boards, those that understand this practice know that when you break a board, you do not focus on the board. You focus beyond the board so that you see your hand on the other side of the board, and thus then when you move, the board just gets out of the way."— Bashar, Monologue Building The Bridge To [2013] (monologue-building-the-bridge-to-2013#text)
