# Golden Ratio

*Leaves and crystal facets widen around one shared spiral center*

Across these transcripts the phi ratio — 1 to 1.618 — is named as the proportion of growth. Bashar presents it as a single underlying ratio that recurs in natural growth, in the proportions of ancient sacred architecture, in the placement of the Moon, and as a "keying" frequency for consciousness. The sessions do not demonstrate these claims mathematically; they assert them as features of how creation is structured.

## The ratio of growth in nature

The clearest general statement is in Breaking The Seals. Asked what the phi ratio represents, Bashar answers: "The phi ratio specifically being 1 to 1.618. Everything in nature. Your bodies, plants, anything that grows, anything that evolves, exhibits physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, these cycles, these ratios in the cycles of events, of growth, of position, of timing, of attitude, of proportion, of expression." The ratio is treated as a universal template of growth and expression, not only a geometric curiosity.

Comet Commitment Conviction gives the same definition in one line — "Phi ratio. Yes, 1 to 1.618. The nature ratio in which everything grows in that proportion to every other component of its being" — and explicitly grounds the healing use of phi harmonics in that template: because phi underlies "every idea of physical growth," a chord built on phi will "key into many, many, many fundamental vibrational areas in consciousness."

## Phi as a keying frequency

In the same session the ratio is applied to sound and healing. When a questioner asks for a general pattern of frequencies, Bashar asks whether they have considered "golden ratio harmonics, phi ratio harmonics" and "the golden mean." The practical suggestion is to "create a chord, a harmonic, in which individuals are exposed to that chord, that harmonic that exhibits the golden mean and phi ratios," which then acts "as a keying frequency, a keying tuning fork that they can then match their frequency to by being immersed in its vibration." The felt sense of being in that vibration gives the listener "the clue of what frequency it is they need to remain on in order to function in a more natural and harmonic way."

## Phi in the architecture of the solar system and of monuments

Engine Of Ascension embeds the phi ratio in a narrative about the Moon. The body we call the Moon, Bashar says, was "brought from a great distance" and "fixed about the earth" at a distance chosen to "represent the ratio of growth, that which you in your modern times have come to know as the phi ratio of 1 to 1.618. That is the ratio of growth of all living things." The same placement is said to make the Moon visually equal in size to the Sun in Earth's sky, accounting for the exactness of eclipses.

Animals And Extinction gives the architectural counterpart. Asked about the proportions of a meditation cone, Bashar locates phi both in the cone (a 33.9° apex with the Fibonacci sequence constructed inside) and in the Great Pyramid: "The four-sided pyramid represented by the Giza Great Pyramid is directly representative of the phi ratio: the height being one is exactly in ratio to the base, which is 1.618, giving angles at the corners of 51 degrees and an angle at the apex of 78 degrees, exactly the angles of the Great Pyramid." The cone and tetrahedron are distinguished functionally — the cone "resonates precisely as a wave guide for wavelengths of energy," whereas the tetrahedron "will translate the energy in a variety of ways that may not be immediately perceivable."

## A note on the source register

These are metaphysical and ancient-civilization claims, not engineering or historical demonstrations. They are reported here as what the transcripts say, not as verified measurement. A learner using this chapter for retrieval should open the linked passages and read the surrounding context before treating any specific numerical claim as load-bearing.

## Practical implications

The teaching's practical face is the keying-frequency idea: if phi underlies the structure of growth, then exposure to a phi-based harmonic or environment can serve as a tuning fork that helps one locate a more natural inner frequency. This is presented as a permission slip — a tool that works through the listener's willingness to match it — not as a medical or therapeutic intervention.

The architectural and astronomical uses (pyramids, the Moon's placement) are descriptive of what Bashar says about those structures; they are not instructions to build, visit, or use any particular object for health or spiritual purposes.
