# Harmony

In Bashar's teaching, harmony is treated as a presently chosen vibration rather than a fragile arrangement that has to be protected from other people. When a questioner describes building a peaceful household with her children that "disintegrates" whenever she brings in a roommate, Bashar reframes the pattern as something she is co-creating, not something happening to her: nothing in her experience is happening by itself, and the place to look is the belief and the perceived benefit that keep the pattern in place.

## Harmony is a preference, not a maintenance project

The session's key move is to separate harmony-as-vibration from harmony-as-permanence. The questioner's fear is that harmony "would not last," and she is treating that fear as evidence supplied by the past. Bashar turns the causal direction around: "the present creates the past, not the other way around," so the issue is not whether harmony can be guaranteed to last but whether she is willing to prefer the vibration of harmony now, without the condition that it must be maintained.

This reframing is what lets the teaching work in the presence of another person's disharmony. The questioner does not have to make the roommate harmonious; she has to keep choosing her own preferred vibration, because the only experience she will filter is the one matching the vibration she chooses.

## Why negative beliefs hold on

A recurring obstacle to a sustained preferred vibration is the apparent stubbornness of negative beliefs. Bashar treats that stubbornness as part of how beliefs operate: any belief is self-reinforcing, by necessity, in order to focus on the reality it generates. The exit is not fighting the belief but recognizing the "skeleton key" that all beliefs can be changed. Knowing that key is always available lets a person return to neutral and choose again, even when a negative belief is doing its utmost to look like the only possible option.

## Recognizing beliefs that are not yours

The session closes with a tactile test for beliefs that block harmony: anything that does not belong to you gets heavy, while what belongs to you is light. When a learner can identify a heavy belief, see that it is illogical for them, and locate where it was picked up, they can return it to its source and drop it.

## Practical implications

The teaching asks a learner to investigate, not to perform harmony:

Ask what fearful outcome is being protected against by holding on to disharmony. The session treats "it would not last" as a belief to be examined, not a fact to be solved.

Prefer the vibration of harmony in the present without requiring a guarantee of its duration, and notice when an expectation of "maintenance" is being imposed on it.

Use the felt weight of a belief as a diagnostic: a heavy, draining belief is a candidate for a borrowed definition that can be identified and released.

This is metaphysical framing of inner state and relationship, not practical relationship, family-systems, or mental-health guidance.

## Representative passages

If you just prefer the vibration of harmony, you don't have to do anything other than continue to prefer the vibration of harmony in order to continue to experience harmonious realities. ... Even if someone else has a negative intention or disharmonious intention toward you, it won't matter because the only thing you'll experience is harmony if that's the vibration you choose to filter everything through.— Bashar, Co creating And Experience Of Disharmony Game Of Chess (co-creating-and-experience-of-disharmony-game-of-chess#qa-3)

Anything that doesn't belong to you gets heavy. The things that belong to you are light. That's how you know you're dragging around a negative belief that belongs to someone else: you start feeling weighed down by it.— Bashar, Co creating And Experience Of Disharmony Game Of Chess (co-creating-and-experience-of-disharmony-game-of-chess#qa-5)
