# Holographic Now

There is only one eternal now moment, manifesting itself simultaneously in many multidimensional ways. Every moment you perceive as a different moment is the same one moment in one of its forms. This is the cosmological frame behind Bashar's recurring teaching that the present is the only time in which one ever exists, and that the past and future are present-time projections rather than elsewheres.

## Something, nothing, and everything

Bashar frames the question "why is there something rather than nothing?" by introducing a third, larger category: everything. Within everything there is nothing and something; neither alone is everything, so to complete the concept of everything, nothing had to give birth to something. Physical reality reflects this structure by taking turns — "one moment there is something, then nothing, then something, then nothing" — so swiftly that the nothings are not noticed except as a pervasive background space in which the something seems to happen.

## Discontinuous reality and the neutral gear

Physical reality, in Bashar's framing, is discontinuous: it flickers on and off like frames of film, with nothing-gaps between the moments. The gaps are not empty accidents but the neutral gear that allows change from one instant to the next. Without that discontinuity, change would be "almost overpoweringly impossible, because you would have to overcome the entire inertia of the infinite universe itself in order to affect a change in any one area." Each "on" moment is discrete and whole and different, however slightly, from the moment before and the moment to come.

## One eternal now, multi-faceted

Underneath the flicker, there really is only one moment. "There really only is one moment. Just one. One eternal now moment. It manifests itself simultaneously in many different ways, multidimensionally, multi-faceted, multi-expressible, but every moment you perceive as a different moment is the same one moment in one of the ways it has of manifesting itself." Linear before-and-after arises only from the definition given to reality.

The same structure appears in Bashar's navigation analogy: location is treated as a property of the object itself rather than a place the object sits inside, because there is "no space, no time, not really" — only a reorientation of vibration.

## You exist now, therefore you always have

The teaching turns ethical/existential in the same breath: "You exist. You always have. You always will. Because you exist now. Because there is only one now. Manifesting in all the ways that it can. Therefore, if you exist in this now, you will exist in every one of them." Bashar draws the conclusion that you are "made in the image of the infinite creator, just as infinite and just as eternal, connected to everything."

The practical consequence — developed across many of Bashar's monologues on time travel, future-self dialogue, and the structure of the present — is that any work one does on the self is done from this now, and that past and future selves are co-present with, and reachable from, the present moment.

## Practical implications

Treat the present as the only point of leverage: the past and future are present-time ideas, so changes made now re-frame both.

When you feel stuck in a continuous-feeling run of events, remember the discontinuity frame — each moment is discrete, with a neutral gap that allows a different choice, so you are not actually locked into the previous moment's inertia.

The flickering nothing-gaps are not voids to fear; they are the structural condition for change, the neutral gear between moments.

Existence now is itself the proof of eternal existence: because there is only one now, existing in this now means existing in every now.

## Representative passages

There really only is one moment. Just one. One eternal now moment. It manifests itself simultaneously in many different ways, multidimensionally […]. Every moment you perceive as a different moment is the same one moment in one of the ways it has of manifesting itself. You simply perceive it as a before or after moment because of the definition you have given to your reality of linear time, before, now, after. They all exist now. It is all one moment.— Bashar, Nothing At All (nothing-at-all#text, from the opening monologue)

Physical reality, to some degree, is structured like that. On, off, on, on, off, on, off. With each on moment being discrete and whole and different, however slightly, from the moment before and the moment to come. […] The nothings give you an opportunity to shift gears, as you say, to go into neutral, so that you can create a difference from one moment to the next. If things were not discontinuous in that way, change would not be able to occur in the way that it does.— Bashar, Nothing At All (nothing-at-all#text, from the opening monologue)

You exist. You always have. You always will. Because you exist now. Because there is only one now. Manifesting in all the ways that it can. Therefore, if you exist in this now, you will exist in every one of them. And you always have. You are being made in the image of the infinite creator just as infinite and just as eternal. Connected to everything.— Bashar, Nothing At All (nothing-at-all#text, from the opening monologue)
