# Integration

Integration is the removal of separation between the differentiations that the one wholeness creates out of itself — the re-blending of knowing, belief, emotion, thought, and of the self with all that is. In Bashar's vocabulary it is the positive, unifying pole: a positive belief expands "in an integrative way," whereas the negative state is segregative, breaking experience into mutually exclusive fragments.

Integration is not sameness or the erasure of individuality; the differentiations remain identifiable while cohering into a coordinated whole.

## This-and-that rather than this-or-that

Bashar names the mechanism of integration precisely: most situations you have been taught to view as "this or that" are better addressed as "this and that." Breaking a circumstance into a this-or-that dichotomy sets up a polarity, a conundrum, that "does not allow you a holistic, big picture view of the circumstances," produces negative states, and traps you in repeating loops. The higher mind senses that everything is a this-and-that circumstance — that you always have access to any and all opportunities within any scenario — while the physical mind, limited by misaligned beliefs, insists it can only be one way or another.

Integration is the willingness to take the inclusive view: to let the physical mind focus while the higher mind holds the larger whole, so that more of the relevant options and inspirations can be perceived.

## Blending the formerly segregated aspects

The integrative act is described as blending and pulling together "all the different formerly segregated aspects of your consciousness into one unified whole" — equalizing the masculine and feminine within you, and harmonizing the diverse cultures of your world without losing their individuality.

The transformation of the present era is, at root, this integration: a willingness to dissolve separation on every level of your being and connect to every level of consciousness. Bashar frames readiness for open contact with other species in the same terms — as a matter of vibration and equality, where un-integrated individuals would be forcibly confronted with unintegrated parts of themselves in an accelerated field.

## Beyond telepathy: direct integration

Bashar distinguishes integration sharply from telepathy. Telepathy is an emotional connection, but it is still "to some degree a separation idea," because it assumes two beings between whom a connection must be made. Integration goes further: it removes the very concept that a connection needs to be made. It is "simply the oneness of everything and therefore the automatic knowingness of anything that is desired to be communicated." When integration is present, you simply know each other, and gestures or symbolic protocols become unnecessary.

## Multi-sensory integration

Integration is also the key Bashar names for nourishing creativity and for unlimited perception. Multi-sensory integration is "very simply the idea once again of knowing that you are connected to everything. By allowing all your doorways to be open, you give yourself ultimate options, and by giving yourself ultimate options, you are unlimited creatively." It means balancing the physical senses to an integrated place by allowing all of your imagination to be valid and all that you perceive on every different level to be valid — and by knowing that you always attract to yourself every idea that can be of use to you in some way, shape or form.

The holotope exercise makes the same point spatially: the center is connected to all the patterns around it, all the different expressions of the one central point of the here and now.

## Forgetting and remembering as an integration process

Physical reality is the context in which integration can be experienced as a process. Because physical reality creates the effect of space and time, you are able to forget that you are creating your reality and then discover it again — you "are actually able to then experience the process of creation." After thousands of years of forgetting, humanity is now described as beginning to remember, which is integration understood as the return of what was only apparently separated.

## Practical implications

The practical lever Bashar names is the shift from this-or-that to this-and-that within a chosen experience. When you catch yourself framing a situation as a forced choice between mutually exclusive poles, you can test the inclusive view instead — asking what both poles are simultaneously true of the circumstance — and notice whether more options, doorways, or inspirations become visible than the dichotomy allowed.

The integrative move is not to deny that you experience one thing at a time; it is to refuse, within what you are experiencing, the further fragmentation that hides relevant options.

A second implication concerns communication and contact. If integration removes the idea that a connection must be made, then the work is not to perfect a technique for reaching other beings but to dissolve the residual separation that makes a technique seem necessary — at which point direct knowingness is what is left.

Applied to your own compartmentalized parts, the same principle says that wholeness is not assembled from the outside but recognized by allowing all levels of perception and imagination to be valid at once.

The teaching stays at the level of metaphysical framing and inner posture; it does not become medical, financial, or predictive direction.

## Representative passages

You will see things as this or that, as that or this, when in most situations you would actually find greater benefit and greater understanding and great facility in transforming the situations into the effects that you prefer by addressing the situation from the perspective of this and that. Because all things exist at once... by breaking down certain circumstances into this or that situations, you limit yourselves and create negative energies, negative states of being that allow you to become confused and caught up in certain kinds of repeating loops.— Bashar, Monologue This And That (monologue-this-and-that#text)

Even though telepathy is an emotional connection, integration is something which removes even the concept that there is a connection that needs to be made. It is simply the oneness of everything and therefore the automatic knowingness of anything that is desired to be communicated.— Bashar, New Metaphysics Extraterrestrials (new-metaphysics-extraterrestrials#qa-7)

It is very simply the idea once again of knowing that you are connected to everything. By allowing all your doorways to be open, you give yourself ultimate options, and by giving yourself ultimate options, you are unlimited creatively... balancing by allowing all of your imagination to be valid, all that you perceive on every different level valid.— Bashar, New Metaphysics Creativity (new-metaphysics-creativity#qa-6)

At the center is connected to all the different patterns that represent all around it, all the different expressions of that one framework, that one idea, that central point of the here and now.— Bashar, A Unified Theory Of Metaphysics (a-unified-theory-of-metaphysics#qa-7)
