# Masculine Feminine Balance

Bashar grounds equal treatment between the sexes in a metaphysical premise: each person already contains both masculine and feminine polarities. The work is not to find the missing half in another, but to befriend the opposite polarity within oneself — at which point other people appear as reflections rather than completions.

## Each person already contains both polarities

The foundational statement is that masculinity and femininity are not distributed by sex but carried by every individual:

Each and every one of you have a masculine and a feminine side. By remembering that each and every one of you have also been male and female in many lives, you can begin to see that you would like to be treated as an equal. You still have the opposite polarity within you. Befriend the other side of yourself, and recognize that all other males and females are also simply reflections in the same way.— Bashar, Creative Relationshipjapan (creative-relationship-japan#qa-5)

Equality, on this framing, is not a social concession. It is the natural conclusion of recognizing that the opposite polarity already lives in you, and that every other person is carrying the same inner balance.

## The "incomplete individual" is the source of relationship pain

Bashar locates the suffering of romantic search in a false premise: the belief that one walks around as half a person, hunting for someone else to provide the missing half. The verbatim session is explicit about the mechanism:

Many individuals upon your planet have been taught that they are functioning as half individuals, as incomplete individuals… you walk around with the vibration of an incomplete individual looking desperately for someone else to complete you… [instead of] understanding that you are… already contain both masculine and feminine energy, no matter who you are… and balance that energy within you… then you can function at the vibrational level of a complete individual.— Bashar, Creative Relationshipjapan (creative-relationship-japan#text)

The consequence, he says, is patterned: if you go through life feeling incomplete, you attract partners who reflect that belief in your own incompleteness — and those interactions reliably "come up short of what you have ideally desired," not to punish you, but to show you the vibration you are radiating.

## Befriending the opposite polarity within

The instruction that follows is inner, not relational. Balance the energy within yourself first; then operate as a complete individual. From that state, the other person is no longer needed for completion and can be met as a reflection:

Even though you may be either male or female now, you still have the opposite polarity within you… once you have befriended the other side of yourself, you can recognize that all other males and females are also simply reflections in the same way and befriend them.— Bashar, Creative Relationshipjapan (creative-relationship-japan#text)

The shift is from complementarity (the other completes me) to mirroring (the other reflects the balance I already carry). This is the practical meaning of masculine-feminine balance in the session.

## Practical implications

Treat equality as metaphysical fact, not social bargain. The session grounds equal treatment in the recognition that every person already contains both polarities.

Inspect the "incomplete individual" premise. Relationship frustration is framed as a mirror of the belief that you are a half searching for a half; balance the polarities within first.

Move from complementarity to mirroring. When both polarities are befriended inside, other people appear as reflections rather than as missing pieces.

Take reincarnation as the wider lens. Bashar references having been male and female across many lives as a reason to want equal treatment now — the present sex is one expression, not the whole self.
