# Merkaba

The Merkaba, in Bashar's teaching, is a representational geometric form that points to two related ideas: the junction between the physical mind and the higher mind, and the underlying structural template of physical reality itself. Bashar treats it as a symbol and an energy pattern, not as a physical object or anatomical field, and his explanations consistently frame it as a key — something that opens perception or integration rather than a thing to be worshipped.

## The junction of physical and higher mind

At its most direct, Bashar describes the Merkaba as the geometric representation of the connection between the physical mind and the higher mind. "What is above is also below": the Merkaba expresses the correspondence of these two energy states and their union, which is what allows a person to become whole. In this sense the form is a symbol of integration — ordinary awareness and the higher perspective joined.

## The bones of God: the underlying template of physicality

In The Council Of Nine Codex, Bashar goes further and names the Merkaba as "the bones of God" — the underlying structural template upon which all ideas and constructs of physicality are built in the archetypal realm. To perceive the Merkaba in this sense is to see, almost like an x-ray vision, the foundational blueprint of physical reality.

The practical claim that follows is that because the Merkaba is the blueprint rather than the surface, a single small vibrational change on this level alters everything. This is why Bashar frames work at the Merkaba level as disproportionately potent: it operates at the level of pattern, not detail.

## The star octahedron and the oxygen template

Bashar identifies the star octahedron — the form of two interpenetrating tetrahedra — as one expression of the Merkaba and links it to the oxygen atom. Oxygen, he says, is the element of transition in the physiological system, so the star octahedron is a strong merkaba reflection of the underlying template of oxygen and represents rapid, vibrational transition. He calls this template "the underlying template of change" and again "the bones of God," tying the geometric form directly to the body's chemistry of transformation.

## Counter-rotating tetrahedra as a gateway key

In The Power Of Paradox, Bashar gives a visualization instruction. He describes the form explicitly: interpenetrating, interrotating tetrahedra — one pointing up, one pointing down, interpenetrating each other like a three-dimensional Star of David, one turning one way and the other the other way. He calls this one of the strongest gateway keys a person can visualize in the meditative mind to open doorways of dimensionality, imagination, consciousness, and accessibility.

His instruction is to persist in imagining that form in a relaxed meditative state; if a person does, he says, almost nothing else is necessary — the visualization itself will have profound effects.

## Enoch and the vibrational gate

Discussing James Hurtak's Merkaba experience with the being Enoch, Bashar explains that Hurtak created a vibrational resonance that allowed him to see the underlying structural blueprint in a flash — a perception so information-dense that translating it back into linear time "may seem to take a while to explain what was understood in a flash."

Bashar's account of Enoch is particular: the concept of Enoch has become interwoven, at this contemporary time, into a vibrational stratum of the archetypal collective consciousness of the planet. Enoch is now part of the Merkaba energy itself — the vibrational gate that regulates the ability to tap into this understanding.

## Practical implications

Use the Merkaba as a symbol of integration, not as a doctrine. Bashar's primary framing is the union of physical mind and higher mind ("what is above is also below"). The form is useful insofar as it points to that integration; it is not presented as a creed.

Visualize the counter-rotating double tetrahedron as a meditative key. Bashar's specific instruction is to picture two interpenetrating tetrahedra — one up, one down, counter-rotating, in the pattern of a three-dimensional Star of David — in a relaxed meditative state, and to persist. He describes this as one of the strongest gateway keys available and says that, persisted in, almost nothing else is needed.

Treat small changes at the template level as disproportionately effective. Because the Merkaba is the underlying blueprint rather than the surface, a small vibrational shift at this level is said to alter everything. The implication for practice is that work on foundational pattern (belief, state of being) is more leveraged than work on surface detail.

Connect the form to the body's transition element. Bashar's link between the star octahedron and the oxygen atom frames the merkaba pattern as the template of rapid transition in the physiological system. This is a symbolic correspondence, not a medical claim; it connects the geometric form to the body's own chemistry of change rather than recommending any specific intervention.

Do not treat Enoch as a historical curiosity alone. Bashar's framing is that Enoch now functions as a vibrational gate — part of the collective archetypal stratum — that regulates access to the Merkaba understanding. Whether one engages that gate is itself a matter of vibrational resonance, not of belief.

Preserve the symbolic boundary. Bashar is explicit that the Merkaba is a representational energy idea and a geometric pattern of consciousness. Treating the form as a literal apparatus, an anatomical field, or a verified scientific object exceeds what the transcripts claim.

## Representative passages

What you're calling the Merkaba is generally representational of the idea of the connection between your physical mind and your higher mind. The idea of what is above is also below. The union and junction of those two energy states to allow you to become a whole person.— Bashar, Merkaba Connection To Physical And Higher mind (merkaba-connection-to-physical-and-higher-mind#qa-1)

The idea of the Merkaba is like perceiving the underlying structural template of physiological reality; it is, as we have poetically labeled it, the bones of God, the underlying pattern upon which all ideas and constructs of physicality are built in the archetypal realm... so that very few vibrational changes then change everything.— Bashar, The Council Of Nine Codex (the-council-of-nine-codex#qa-11)

The interpenetrating, interrotating tetrahedrons — one pointing up, one pointing down, interpenetrating through each other like a three-dimensional Star of David, one turning one way and the other the other way — is a very strong key to open up doorways of dimensionality and accessibility in your imagination, your consciousness, your mind.— Bashar, The Power Of Paradox (the-power-of-paradox#qa-5)
