# The Moon

From Bashar's vantage, Earth's moon is a naturally formed body whose orbit was later adjusted by other civilizations so that it now functions as a balancing and focusing influence on the planet. The moon is not presented as an astronomical claim but as part of the cosmological picture in which Earth is a transformative anchor point under quiet observation by other beings.

## Natural origin, engineered balance

The moon's origin is natural, not imposed. Bashar describes it as the product of an early collision in the solar system: a Mars-sized body struck Earth, breaking material loose that coalesced into the moon at roughly the size and distance it now occupies. What was added later — much later — was an adjustment of its orbital position, undertaken by other civilizations, so that the moon would act as a stabilizing, balancing influence on Earth. It was not captured from elsewhere and placed whole; it formed where it sits and was then fine-tuned.

This places the moon within the same broader picture Bashar gives of a solar system that has been inhabited, observed, and subtly worked by various civilizations for a very long time. Temporary bases have been constructed on the moon (and on other bodies) as part of that observational and balancing work, although such activity is rare now and leaves only faint remnants.

## A focusing lens, not a surface colony

Bashar is explicit that there are no major cities on the surface of the moon. Whatever installations exist are underground, and the beings who use them come and go rather than reside permanently. The popular images of large ships or surface structures are a mixture: some accurate, some not. The moon's function is therefore not civic but energetic — energy is focused through the moon as if through a lens, to aid and assist people in discovering more of the depths and mysteries within their own being.

Because the moon acts as a lens rather than a beacon, its phases do not raise or lower the amount of energy reaching Earth. Instead, the phase shifts where the energy sits along a spectrum — the frequency moves up and down the band, changing quality rather than quantity. receptivity, then, is a matter of matching the prevailing frequency rather than waiting for a peak of amplitude.

## Practical implications

The teaching the moon sits inside is inward, not observational. If the moon functions as a lens focusing energy that helps people discover inner depths, then the practical move is to become receptive to that energy rather than to chase evidence of structures on the surface. Bashar frames the value of the moon as supportive to inner discovery, not as an object to be investigated for its own sake.

The phased-frequency detail carries a small practical corollary: because the phases shift the quality of the energy rather than its amount, no phase is "stronger" than another. A learner working with lunar cycles can attend to which frequency a given phase makes available, rather than treating any phase as a peak to exploit or a trough to endure. This remains Bashar's attributed framing; it is not a medical, psychological, or astronomical instruction.

## Representative passages

It is in its natural orbit. [...] The idea is that its orbit was adjusted. It was not brought from somewhere else to you. It was created by the collision of a Mars-sized planet early in the solar system with Earth that broke off material from your world and created the moon to be the size that it is in its relative position. But the position was adjusted much, much later in time. And it was, in some senses, engineered to function as a more balancing influence on your planet. [...] There are no major cities on the surface of your moon. Everything that is there is underground.— Bashar, of2The Big Picture Bashar [2015-06-21] (of2the-big-picture-bashar-2015-06-21#text)

Energy is being focused through your moon as a lens to aid and assist in you discovering more of the depths of the mysteries within your being [...] there's a slight cycle to the moon, which has at certain phases. So depending on the phase, there might be more or less energy? It's not more or less, but the frequencies will change and shift up and down a spectrum.— Bashar, of2The Big Picture Bashar [2015-06-21] (of2the-big-picture-bashar-2015-06-21#text)

There are also extraterrestrial bases on your planet here and there and on your moon and in several planets in your solar system.— Bashar, E.t.Visitations E.t.Bases On Earth And Moon (etvisitations-etbases-on-earth-and-moon#qa-1)
