# Oversoul > Oversoul connects simultaneous incarnations, counterparts, and parallel selves through shared signature frequency and destiny themes. - Canonical: https://sassani.app/topic/oversoul # Oversoul The oversoul is the shared source that fragments itself into many simultaneous, distinct extensions — the past selves, future selves, parallel-reality yous, and counterpart selves coexisting in the same timeframe are all fragments of one oversoul, experienced at once rather than as a sequence. Lives are not sequential rebirths but coexisting branches of one oversoul; what you call reincarnation is not "re-incarnation" but multiple simultaneous incarnations cross-connecting through the same source in the present. ## Signature frequency and the line of communication Every oversoul carries its own signature frequency, and a thread of that same vibration lives in each extension. It is through that shared signature vibration that a continuous line of communication and connection runs from the individualization back to the oversoul, and from the oversoul back to the individualization. The oversoul extension, on the basis of what makes it unique, can then manifest free will by making choices — but those choices always remain in alignment with what serves the highest good of the whole connection back to the oversoul and to All That Is. This is why Bashar teaches that, in channeling or in making connections to other dimensional or extraterrestrial beings, "not always, but more often than not, you will actually be connecting with another version of your Oversoul." The being on the other end of a seemingly alien contact is frequently another extension of the same source you already are. ## Destiny sets the theme; free will chooses how to explore it A physical life brings in a particular destiny — a theme that has been agreed to, a vibration that connects directly back to the oversoul and enhances the oversoul's ability to know itself more. But how that theme is explored is left to the free will of the individual. Free will and the predetermined theme work in concert. Even a choice that appears to go against the theme is still one way of exploring it, because the person is making decisions relative to that theme and not another. ## The deep-sea diver The oversoul, free in the "air" of non-physical reality, places upon itself the mask, the breather, the tank, and dives into the deep blue sea of physical reality — each incarnation one such dive. There is always a line to the surface: the higher mind and the oversoul together can see to the horizon and beyond, and will guide the diver who follows the frequency of joy, excitement, and being oneself. One day the diver rises, takes off the equipment, wakes up into spirit, and rediscovers the beacon that was always there. This image anchors a larger pattern: becoming the higher self, becoming the oversoul, becoming one with All That Is, is not a journey to somewhere else but a recognition of integration — of aligning intentions with actions, of moving from a fragmented to a holistic experience of self. ## Counterparts and the number of oversouls on Earth A counterpart is another fragment, another physical form recognizable as a separate individual, that is in fact part of the same soul. Counterparts are the same mechanism as past and future lives except that they exist in the same timeframe — quite common, with an average of at least three or four per person and sometimes many more. Whether you meet a counterpart, fall in love, or stay apart depends on the themes being explored and the vibrational relationship involved. The scale is vast. Of the roughly seven billion physical individuals on the planet, there are only about 350,000 to 400,000 oversouls — an average that fluctuates a bit. An earlier reading gave approximately three million souls within the immediate influence of the planet's energy for roughly five billion incarnated fragments, on one particular level of perception; the numbers vary with the level being looked at, and the structure is one of divisions of divisions of divisions. ## Cross-connection in the present, not cause from the past The inspirations, feelings, and sudden ideas that arrive in this life may be the result of connections made to other lives that are simultaneous with this one. Cross-communication between the lives is always happening; the work is not to make the connection but to tap in and notice which part of it is relevant now. The experiences in those other lives did not cause the experience of this life, and this life will not cause a future life — the cross-connections all exist in the present, an interlaced web of lives all coexisting at the same time, connected to the same oversoul at the center. A specific incarnation, as the fragment it is, has only lived once: "You are you, and you've always been this you; other lives are those people, and they have always been those people." Reincarnation, in this model, involves a totally different personality structure each time — technically not the same "you" — but all of them are part of the same oversoul energy. ## Not absorption: identity forever The eventual merging of identity back into All That Is is not an absorption. Every experience, including the experience of blending with All That Is, will be had from your perspective. Identity is never lost; each perspective keeps waking up into more of itself, going "oh, that was a part of me, but this is who I really am," at every level of reality, forever. Even All That Is can wake up into a new version of itself — because what is truly infinite contains anything and everything that can be imagined. ## Practical implications Treat sudden inspiration as a possible cross-connection from a simultaneous life — read it for relevance now, rather than searching for its "past-life cause." When channeling or sensing contact with another consciousness, consider first the possibility that you are reaching another version of your own oversoul; the contact is still real on its own terms, but the framing changes how you relate to it. Use the signature frequency as a compass: the things that feel most like you, that vibrate with your excitement, are the line back to the oversoul and the guidance of the higher mind. Following excitement is following the beacon. When a life seems to go against its own theme, remember that even resistance is one way of exploring it; no decision is outside the theme being lived. Release the fear that spiritual progress ends in loss of self: Bashar's account is the opposite — every level wakes up into more of itself, identity forever expanding, never absorbed.
