# Prediction

In Bashar's framework there is no such thing as a prediction of the future, because there is no single fixed future to predict — only a sensing of the energy and momentum that exist at the moment the prediction is made. The future is created from the present, so any reading can change the instant the underlying energy changes; hearing a prediction is often precisely the opportunity to render it moot. This makes "prediction" a specific kind of present-tense diagnostics, not foreknowledge, and it is always hedged by the participation of those who hear it.

## No fixed future, only probable nows

Bashar frames the metaphysical backdrop first: past, present, and future all exist simultaneously, like separate channels on a television — you only experience the one your frequency is tuned to. There are infinite possible futures, and a prediction simply reads the strongest present energy; if that energy does not change, the sensed event may come to pass, but if it does change, the originally predicted outcome "shifts to a parallel reality" rather than being falsified.

Because consciousness is constantly shifting through billions of parallel versions of Earth every second, "charting a course" toward a preferred reality is an interactive process — the listener's state of being is itself a variable in what gets experienced.

## The self-defeating prediction

The sharpest tool in this doctrine is the paradox that the prediction itself can change the energy it reads. Once you are told what the present momentum holds, you can decide you do not prefer it and change your definitions or choices; the prediction thereby makes itself obsolete. This is not the predictor being "wrong" — it means the energy they read actually shifted, and the originally sensed outcome now plays out in a parallel reality instead of yours.

The transmission titled 13 Months and Counting makes this explicit: signs and probabilities are given precisely so the audience can decide whether to maintain the momentum or "get active and do something about altering the course" of what is perceived as a high probability.

## Mass momentum vs. individual readings

Predictions differ in their resistance to change. Readings of mass consciousness carry great momentum — the collective energy of billions — and so are far less changeable than readings of an individual's path. Even high-momentum collective events, however, can be softened or transformed when the collective energy shifts; Bashar's standing example is that a society's willingness to integrate rather than separate can reduce a set of foreseen cataclysms to a milder few.

This is why a probability figure (98%, 90%, 78%, 57%) always accompanies a Bashar reading — it states the strength of the present momentum, not a guarantee.

## Why many predictions fail to come true

A prediction fails to manifest in your reality when the present energy it sampled shifts before the predicted event arrives. The shift can occur for many reasons — collective choice, the listener's response to the prediction itself, or simply a redefinition of beliefs. The originally predicted event still unfolds, but it does so in a parallel reality that your consciousness is no longer tracking. From inside your experienced reality, the prediction simply did not come to pass.

## Specific readings used as teaching examples

Across the linked transmissions Bashar offers probability readings as templates rather than ultimatums:

The highest probability for open contact on Earth is in the 2025–2033 window, framed explicitly as a present energy reading, not a fixed date.

Around the fall of 2016, a 98% probability was assigned to the discovery of life in some form on another planet; high probabilities were given to economic bubble bursts in China and Greece and a 100% probability to another major sighting by the Yayel — each a focal point that could begin, continue, or be traced back to that span of 2015–2017.

Earth's entry into the interstellar alliance is read, from present energy, as most probable around 2037 (within a 2025–2040 range), with the qualification that "this has nothing to do with an absolute prediction" and is created by choices not yet made.

In each case the reading is paired with a sign to watch for and an action the listener can take. The transmission Future Milestones formalizes this as a template of demarcation years (2007, 2010, 2015, 2017, 2033, 2042) the audience is invited to use as a self-tracking tool rather than an oracle.

## Practical implications

A learner can take several concrete things from this teaching:

Treat any prediction — Bashar's or anyone else's — as a snapshot of present momentum, not a verdict. The participation of the listener is built into whether it manifests.

When you hear a prediction you do not prefer, the response is not fatalism but a change of state of being, definition, and action; that is the mechanism by which the momentum shifts.

Track signs and synchronicities rather than fixed dates; Bashar's templates pair dates with observable markers precisely so the learner can read their own progress.

Mass-consciousness predictions (collective events) carry more momentum and are less individually changeable than personal readings, but even they are softened by collective shifts toward integration.

The framing is metaphysical, not financial, medical, or political. Probability readings about markets, disasters, or contact are not investment advice, safety guidance, or foreign-policy forecasting; they describe an energy picture within Bashar's reality model.

## Representative passages

When a person makes a prediction, they are not actually predicting the future. They are sensing the energy that exists in the present, the strongest energy. If that energy doesn't change, then that may lead to events that will unfold. But if that energy does change, then the event they originally predicted will not unfold the way they sensed it. The prediction itself can actually have the effect of changing the energy — because now you know what the energy of the moment is, and if you don't prefer it and then change it, the prediction itself made itself obsolete. This does not mean the person making the prediction was wrong; it means what they sensed changed in energy and did not need to come to pass, but then will occur in a parallel reality.— Bashar, Predictions Of Our Future (predictions-of-our-future#qa-2)

Understand, of course, there's no such thing as a prediction of the future. There is only a sensing of the energy that exists at the time the prediction is made. If that energy doesn't change, then it may manifest. If it does change, something else will happen. However, if there's a great deal of momentum, a great deal of energy behind something, and it seems unlikely to change, then a high degree of probability will allow the idea of a so-called prediction to manifest.— Bashar, Open Contact Probablility 2033 [2025] (open-contact-probablility-2033-2025#qa-1)

Predictions are always sensing of the energy at the time the prediction is made. Part of the reason of giving you signs and indications and discussing this idea is to allow you, again, individually and collectively, to decide what to do with this information and whether you want it to maintain its momentum and manifest, or whether you want to actually get active and do something about altering the course of some of the things that we may be perceiving now as high probabilities.— Bashar, Months And Counting (months-and-counting#qa-1)
