# Present Moment

In Bashar's teaching, the present is not a thin edge between past and future; it is the only location in which anything is actually experienced, and therefore the only place from which anything is actually created. The past and the future are not elsewhere you can travel to — they are present experiences of memory and anticipation whose meanings are assigned now. Because creation happens only now, the stance you take in the present is the single lever you actually have.

## The present is not the result of the past

The first inversion is that the present is not the result of the past unless you choose to believe that is so. The only experiential existence you ever perceive is the present; you are creating the memory in the present, and if you make it meaningful, it comes back.

Stated even more directly: there is no past. What you call the experience of the past is simply another parallel now — your fears and beliefs do not come from the past; you just say they do, but that is another version of the present.

The same logic applies to the future. The future creates the present only when the future becomes your present; while this present is your present, it is also creating what you call the future. When you arrive in the future, isn't it always now? You are allowing what you now call the future to finally simply become your present.

In fourth density, Bashar says, you will begin to forget your past because you will simply recognize that anything you need to know you can know in the present; you are creating your past and your future from your present.

## Memory and prediction are present acts

Because memory and prediction happen now, their power comes from the meaning you assign in the present. Forget about remembering — Bashar's framing is that "we have no memory at all, and thus we forget nothing; therefore we know everything we need to know when we need to know it. All you need to know is that you will know what you need to know when you need to know it, and you don't need to know it a moment before."

The same is true forward: there is no such thing as predicting the future. A prediction describes the situational energy that exists in the present that has the most energy behind it; if the momentum does not waver, decrease, or divert, it will come to pass — if it changes, it will not.

The future is not fixed; it is the present's momentum read out loud.

## Fear is projection away from the now

If fear is the issue, Bashar traces it to leaving the present. The only place fear is coming from is when you are projecting — projecting from the present into some imaginary future, or projecting in the present from some imaginary past — not actually being in the present.

The correction is therefore not to fight the fear but to return: stay with what is apparent now, and the projection loses its fuel.

## Perfect timing, not perfect time

A distinctive teaching is the distinction between timing and time. There is nothing but your own belief systems creating hesitation — nothing except the belief that there is something. You have made certain appointments in your life to experience things in a certain timing; there is no way, if you stay present, that you can miss any of them. Paradoxically, the only way to miss an appointment is to spend time worrying. What's your hurry? Do you not trust the perfect timing of your life? If you trust it completely, there is no need to speed anything up; if you know your life unfolds in perfect timing, you are having fun where you are right now. Your timing — not time — will be flawless.

The same principle appears in the scattering problem. Anything really important for you to do in your life, you will have time to do. If you relax into that and take it one step at a time and stay in the now and do the things that excite you the most all the way through as best as you can, everything else will fall into automatic order and bring with it all the time necessary to do those things.

And let synchronicity and excitement order and organize your life; let space and time fit the things you need to do rather than trying to stuff everything into a particular box of space and time — let space and time stretch or shrink as needed to accommodate what you really need to do.

## The control gears are in the present

Where do you actually have control? You have all the control right there within your bubble. The circumstances that make themselves obvious to you are your gears to move around — and you have the best control when you remain in the present, where all of your control gears are. The opportunities that present themselves in that reality, the ones that represent the things that excite you the most — those are the control gears.

This is also why present being is the access route to information: the easiest way to access any information you require at any given moment is to be yourself as fully as you can be; by being yourself as fully as you can be, you will be living in the present as much as you can possibly live.

## The eternal now and the "how" trap

Love is the test case for the eternal now. There is no past, there is no future, there is only one eternal now, so any time you feel that love, then at that moment it is all the time; when you feel it, you feel it all the time, because in that moment that is all the time there is.

And the "how" question is named as the trap that pulls attention out of the present: the timing can be now; every time you ask how, you are separating yourself from the now-understanding.

The succinct version, given as a catchphrase, is: any time you find yourself in a quandary and ask "but how?", answer yourself, "live now, that's how."

## Change happens in timelessness

A subtler point concerns where change actually occurs. Change takes place within the nothing. You do not experience the shift itself; you only experience what comes after the shift, the result of the change. That takes place in a world of space and time. The change takes place in timelessness, so there is no experience of it — not of the actual change itself, but only of how you have changed.

The present, in other words, is where you experience the result of shifts that occur outside the time line; trying to catch the shift itself in time is the mistake.

## Practical implications

What these transcripts consistently support is a stance, not a procedure:

When you catch yourself attributing a feeling to "the past," re-label it: the feeling is happening now, and is being sustained by a present definition. Change the definition and the feeling's fuel changes with it.

Treat memory as a present act. You will know what you need to know when you need to know it; let information arrive in perfect timing rather than trying to hold it all in advance.

Read predictions as momentum readings, not as fixed futures. The same energy can invert in the next moment if it changes.

When fear arises, look for the projection — into an imaginary future or an imaginary past — and bring attention back to what is actually here. The fear lives in the projection, not in the now.

Trade time for timing. Stay present with what you are doing, and trust that what genuinely needs to happen will arrive in flawless timing; the only way to miss an appointment is to spend it worrying.

When many important things compete, do not try to fit them into a fixed box of space and time; let excitement and synchronicity stretch or shrink space and time around what you actually need to do.

Locate your control in the present bubble — the circumstances obvious right now are the gears, and the exciting opportunities in this reality are the control gears.

Catch the "how" trap. Repeatedly asking "but how?" separates you from the present realization; the answer, when stuck, is "live now, that's how."

These implications describe Bashar's framework, not medical, psychological, or safety advice. Where present-moment practice intersects with trauma, acute anxiety, or conditions that pull attention involuntarily from the now, qualified support remains the appropriate resource; this framing is complementary, not a substitute.

## Representative passages

The present is not the result of the past, unless you choose to believe that that is so. Because the only experiential existence you ever perceive is the present. You are creating the memory in the present. If you make it meaningful, it comes back.— Bashar, Believing In Beliefs (believing-in-beliefs#qa-7)

They actually all come from the present. You just say they come from the past, but that's just another version of the present. They don't come from the past. Change that definition now. There is no past. What you call the experience of the past is simply another parallel now.— Bashar, Fears Come From The Present Apply New Law2 (fears-come-from-the-present-apply-new-law2#qa-1)

The future creates the present when the future becomes your present. But while this present is your present, it's also creating what you call the future. When you arrive in the future, isn't it always now? ... Since you're creating the past from the present, you can actually use the present to alter the past.— Bashar, Allowing The Future To Become The Present (allowing-the-future-to-become-the-present#qa-2)

Forget about remembering. We have no memory at all, and thus we forget nothing. Therefore, we know everything we need to know when we need to know it. All you need to know is that you will know what you need to know when you need to know it.— Bashar, Fears Come From The Present Apply New Law2 (fears-come-from-the-present-apply-new-law2#qa-3)

There really is, quote unquote, no such thing as predicting the future. What is being said is the situational energy that exists in the present ... If the momentum of that energy does not waver, does not decrease, does not divert, then it will, in your terms, come to pass. If it does change, it will not.— Bashar, Believing In Beliefs (believing-in-beliefs#qa-8)

There is nothing but your own belief systems creating that hesitation — nothing, except the belief that there is something. ... there is no way, if you stay present, that you can miss any of them. Paradoxically, the only way to miss an appointment is to spend time worrying. ... Your timing — not time — will be flawless.— Bashar, At Lightning In A Bottle (at-lightning-in-a-bottle#qa-13)

You have all the control right there within your bubble. The circumstances that make themselves obvious to you are your gears to move around. ... That is also why you have the best control ... when you remain in the present where all of your control gears are.— Bashar, Connections Linkages And Controls (connections-linkages-and-controls#qa-2)

In that way there is no past, there is no future, there is only one eternal now, that any time you feel that love, then at that moment it is all the time. ... when you feel it, you feel it all the time. Because in that moment, that is all the time there is.— Bashar, Buffer Zonetape2 (buffer-zonetape2#qa-3)
