It treats science as a genuine but partial mode of inquiry that has been shaped by a particular assumption: the universe is something separate from the observer. The chapters in these transcripts argue that this founding assumption biases the design of scientific experiments, narrows what counts as acceptable evidence, and silently excludes consciousness from the equations. As a civilization integrates, Bashar predicts, science will fold consciousness back into its models and physics and metaphysics will become one exploration seen from two viewpoints. ## Science is built on a separating assumption New Metaphysics Science places the discipline inside the larger frame of Bashar's "cycle of separation." All science, he says, "has been created within the 25,000 year cycle of separation of yourself from the all that is that you are. Therefore, this background … is responsible for the creation of the viewpoint from which the majority of what has been your science proceeds. That is, that the universe, as you know it, is something separate from yourselves." The "question" itself is treated as a product of that separation. "A question is an answer that you already contain but viewed from the perspective of being separate from the answer and in this way reflecting back to yourselves a reminder … that you do contain the answer but you choose to view it outside yourself." The practical correlate is that new sciences become possible when the civilization's self-definition shifts; conversely, a stuck science signals a stuck self-definition. ## Concrete prompts offered to investigators Where Bashar engages working researchers, the teaching gets specific. In Balancing The Energy Field Through Resonance And Frequency, he tells a team mapping the human meridian system that "all communication of that nature is done through variations in the frequency of the electromagnetic field," and offers a detection strategy: "set up a parent field, in a sense, a fundamental that it resonates to," then sweep it through a range of frequencies and watch which substances vibrate in chord. These are framed as suggestions for the researchers to test, not as doctrine. Similarly, in Higher Consciousness Contacting Other Civilizations A Game Of Chess, Bashar points an investigator toward particular materials — "explore the properties of silicon dioxide and magnesium … also, bismuth" — explicitly framed as a vibrational key to follow rather than a guaranteed result. The framing matters: Bashar is offering a lead the questioner can investigate scientifically, not a conclusion to adopt on faith. ## Practical implications Examine the separating assumption. The default scientific stance treats the universe as an object separate from the observer. Bashar's claim is that this is a structural assumption, not a discovery, and that it biases experimental design and the very definition of what counts as evidence. Notice where skepticism becomes bias. Skepticism filters, but when it narrows the acceptable range of phenomena in advance it becomes the very bias it claims to prevent — excluding, for example, phenomena that depend on emotional and spontaneous conditions.
