# Space Travel

Space travel, as Bashar describes the craft of his civilization, is not motion through intervening space. It is a shift of spatial identification — the ship removes itself from normal space, reorients, and re-emerges at a new viewpoint "without ever having traveled at all." What humans call space travel is, by contrast, "sliding around on the surface of space," a valid but preliminary stage of the understanding.

Bashar presents this as metaphysical teaching about the nature of space, time, and vibration, not as engineering instructions or an empirical claim that human craft can currently do this.

No traveling in true space travel

Bashar's central statement is that "there is no travelling in true space travel." The ship performs three steps: it removes itself from normal space, re-aligns its viewpoint or orientation, and re-emerges into normal space at the new viewpoint — without ever having traveled at all. The pilot's mind forms an identification with the mind of the self-aware ship, which amplifies their mental wave patterns and orients the craft to the desired location in space and time. Space, in this framing, is not something an object occupies but "a property of the object itself"; replacing that property with the property of another location, the object must of necessity discontinue its existence at location A and take up residence at location B.

Hyper-leap as teleportation

When a journey is described as a "hyper leap," Bashar equates it directly with teleportation: "there is no traveling." His framing rests on the idea that physical reality itself is already a moment-to-moment re-creation — you create yourself over and over so fast that you experience one fluid motion. From that perspective, "you are really teleporting from moment to moment to moment; we simply remove a few of the moments in between."

Hyper-leap travel is the same mechanism, with intermediate moments removed.

The isolation bubble: unlock and lock

A second session adds the mechanism. The craft projects a microwave-band field around itself — an "isolation bubble" — that allows it to unlock from one universal reality and lock into any other. This lets the crew "redefine and relocate ourselves instantaneously without having to have traveled through space." Within that bubble, "all universal realities break down and can be rearranged in whatever pattern we impose upon it with our vibratory resonance frequencies within the craft." Colloquially, Bashar says, "we melt the universe around [the ship] and re-solidify it where and when we want to be."

Why leave the surface first

Bashar notes that, in general, the ship removes itself from proximity to a large gravitational source before initiating a hyperjump, because "the field created round and about the ship will have a tendency to take with it what is nearby" — they do not want to be "pulling chunks of real estate with us." Phased shiftings can alternate a ship from parallel universe to parallel universe while still near a gravitic body, but in general it is safer to depart the planet's surface first.

Space and time are projections

Bashar locates the whole mechanism in a wider principle: time and space are the same thing, and neither really exists — they are projections, convenient viewpoints. Even what is called space travel — going from planet to planet — is "a shifting in time, in dimensionality, as well as in space." The doorways between realities are natural, fluctuating overlaps that sometimes open and sometimes close, like any natural phenomenon; in this transformational age humans will in time learn to read those fluctuations and use the doorways to shift into other dimensions of reality.

Practical implications

Bashar's account of spacecraft is metaphysical teaching about space, time, and vibration. It is not an empirical or engineering claim that human craft can currently relocate instantaneously, and nothing here should be taken as operational guidance.

The teaching points to a wider principle usable by anyone: you are already re-creating yourself moment to moment; what looks like continuous motion is a very rapid sequence of shifts. Bashar uses this to reframe what is possible in physical reality.

The isolation-bubble / unlock-lock model is consistent with Bashar's wider framing of parallel realities: shifting experience is a change of frequency and focus, not a traversal of distance. See the parallel-realities and hyperspace topics for that broader framing.

Doorways between dimensions are described as natural, fluctuating, and not controlled by anyone — including by Bashar's civilization. They can be used when open and aligned, but Bashar frames this as physics of consciousness rather than a guarantee of safe use.

Bashar's contact-with-Earth framing is relational, not technological: open contact waits on humans experiencing themselves as equals, not on the arrival of a particular propulsion method (see open-contact and extraterrestrial-life).

Representative passages

It is the ship which performs the function of removing itself in your terms from normal space, re-aligning its viewpoint or orientation, and then re-emerging into normal space at that new viewpoint without ever having traveled at all. [...] There is no travelling in true space travel. What your civilization at this time is undertaking is, in a sense, sort of, I'll say, sliding around on the surface of space.— Bashar, Creators (creators#qa-6)

You are really teleporting from moment to moment to moment; we simply remove a few of the moments in between.— Bashar, Creators (creators#qa-6)

Microwave energy is given off as a field around the ship because that microwave field is the isolation bubble that allows our ships to unlock from one universal reality and lock into any other universal reality, allowing us to redefine and relocate ourselves instantaneously without having to have traveled through space. [...] We melt, very colloquially, we melt the universe around this and re-solidify it where and when we want to be.— Bashar, How Bashars Spaceships Flies (how-bashars-spaceships-flies#qa-4)
