# Spirit Communication

In Bashar's framing, contact with non-physical consciousness — including people and animals who have died — is normal rather than occult, and it arrives through media that are already part of everyday life: the body's electromagnetic field, dreams, imagination, synchronistic events, and felt differences in energy. The sessions consistently decline to make this into a recipe for mediumship, and they decline just as firmly to use spirit communication as a substitute for grieving or for living one's own life. The departed are described as continuing their own broader experience, available without being trapped in a waiting room beside the physical world.

## The body's field as the medium

The most structural account is in the higher-consciousness session. Bashar describes consciousness as prior to physical manifestation, with the brain functioning as a recording, storage, and transmission medium rather than the source of awareness. Telepathy, on this account, moves through the electromagnetic field — "your spirit is not in your body. That's why your physical aura, your electromagnetic field, is bigger than your body" — and the fields of different people are interlocked, which is what allows telepathic communication at all.

This is presented as the corpus's metaphysical framing; it is not a scientific or medical claim about the aura outside that framing.

## The departed have their own lives

The "how spirit interacts" session refuses the common assumption that a departed loved one is idling nearby. Asked whether his mother has been hanging around since her death, the questioner is told: "Spirits have lives to live, they have things to do, but they will always respond." Time and space for them is not what it is for the living; they can look in, observe, and share enjoyment without being confined.

The same session handles the subtle cues — a sudden interest in books a departed mother would have liked — as a possible "suggestion," while carefully distinguishing sharing a loved one's enjoyment from being used as a substitute experience. The departed do not need to read a book through the living; "she's enjoying your experience of reading the book. She's sharing quality time with you."

## Transition is not linear, and contact remains possible

The dream session describes what generally happens after physical death: individuals are greeted by others, proceed to a life review, and decide what they wish to do next — and none of this is linear, all of it going on simultaneously. Even if a soul chooses another life, "you can still contact the identity in spirit form. Every time you think of that entity and send love, it receives it; interactions often come in dream time when you let down your idea of limitation."

The Max exchange in the future-self session applies the same framing to a departed animal. To the question "Where is my dog Max after passing, and can I still connect with him?" Bashar points to dream encounters and to imagination as a real space of interaction: "imagine yourself interacting, playing with, Max. You can do this easily, yes?" The connection is framed as continuing and always will be, rather than as severed by death.

## How the communication actually arrives

The Association Earth session is the most practical about what form the communication takes. The questioner had a brief dream encounter with someone on the other side and asks how to tell their thoughts from their own. Bashar's reply: "Much of that communication will not come through as conversation but as synchronistic events — seeing a certain thing at a certain time that reminds you of them." For a more deliberate methodology, "at first it will sound like your own thoughts; give yourself time to differentiate, and you will begin to feel the subtle difference in energy." He recommends meditating, relaxing, and opening the conversation in the imagination, allowing it to "spontaneously unfold, no matter how silly or nonsensical it seems" — and notes that what makes the least logical sense may be the truest representation, because the departed are less oriented to the physical universe and many symbols no longer apply.

The same session gives a transitional example: a mother grieving three deaths dreams of stroking a baby dolphin. Bashar frames the dolphin as a telepathic go-between that can carry whispered messages "to the other side and return with the message" until she is strong enough to receive those messages directly — "because there really has been no separation."

## Non-physical consciousness is broader than "ghosts"

The Cryptics session widens what counts as non-physical communication. The beings called Cryptics describe themselves as "very much closely aligned and related vibrationally to what you would recognize as a nature of spirit" (Tannini in their own language), living through relevant interaction rather than inside fixed structures.

And the future-self session places angelic consciousness within a layered account of All That Is: undifferentiated oneness has no awareness of itself; its first reflection becomes All That Is; the first split beyond that is "the level you call angelic consciousness."

These are presented as metaphysical framing, not as verified observation.

## Practical implications

Notice synchronistic events, dreams, and remembered feeling states as possible communication, rather than expecting analytical conversation.

Relax the distinction between "their thoughts" and "your thoughts" over time; the differentiation is taught as a felt difference in energy that emerges with practice, not as a rule available upfront.

Let imaginative interaction be a real space of connection rather than dismissing it as "only imagination." The Max exchange and the dream-session teaching both treat imagination as a legitimate medium.

Use an intermediary symbol — in the corpus, a dream animal — as a temporary go-between when direct contact feels too strong.

Do not treat the departed as waiting around physical life; they are framed as continuing their own broader experience while remaining responsive.

This is metaphysical framing of consciousness, death, and contact. It is not a substitute for grief support, mental-health care, or clinical attention to distressing experiences; bereavement and any persistent distress warrant qualified professional support.

## Representative passages

Your spirit is not in your body. That's why your physical aura, your electromagnetic field, is bigger than your body. ... all of your fields are interlocked. This is what allows there to be telepathic communication within the electromagnetic field.— Bashar, Communication With Higher Conciousness (communication-with-higher-conciousness#qa-2)

Spirit beings have a little bit bigger, broader point of view ... but that doesn't mean she's hanging around with nothing else to do. Spirits have lives to live, they have things to do, but they will always respond.— Bashar, How Spirit Consciousness Interacts With Physical Reality (how-spirit-consciousness-interacts-with-physical-reality#qa-1)

Much of that communication will not come through as conversation but as synchronistic events — seeing a certain thing at a certain time that reminds you of them. ... at first it will sound like your own thoughts; give yourself time to differentiate, and you will begin to feel the subtle difference in energy.— Bashar, Association Earth (association-earth#qa-8)

Upon transition, individuals are generally greeted by others, then proceed to a life review and decide what they wish to do. None of this is linear; all is going on simultaneously. Even if a soul chooses another life, you can still contact the identity in spirit form.— Bashar, Life Is But A Dream (life-is-but-a-dream#qa-5)

Imagine yourself interacting, playing with, Max. You can do this easily, yes?— Bashar, Dialogues With The Future (dialogues-with-the-future#qa-5)
