# Technology

In Bashar's account, technology is not a cause that changes consciousness from the outside; it is a reflection of changes a being has already made within itself. Anything that appears in your technology can only mirror the state of consciousness you have already reached — "it can't happen the other way around."

This orients the whole subject: devices, tools, and machines are expressions of who you are, not routes around who you are.

## Technology follows consciousness, not the reverse

The clearest statement of the principle comes when Bashar is asked how to update definitions while still valuing older traditions. He replies that you can hold a modern interpretation of an idea and still honor the perspectives that brought you here, using the old as stepping stones rather than chains, "as long as there is no resistance to your natural self." Within that framing he folds in the technological axiom directly: "your own current and your own flow must come first, because anything that exists in your technology is only going to be a reflection of changes you've already made in your consciousness. It can't happen the other way around."

The implication is directional. Struggling to be something you are not creates drag; allowing yourself to be who you actually are is described as the path of least resistance. Technological change, in this account, is downstream of that inner alignment — it surfaces after the being has already shifted.

## Crystals and devices as reflections, not powers

The same principle is applied to one whole class of tools. Bashar describes crystals as "almost purely representative of the template itself" of physical materiality, and is explicit that they are not autonomous sources of effect: "The crystals do not have power, you do not. They are reflections literally of the power you are."

He extends the same logic to ritual tools generally — "All tools are valid because what makes any tool work is a belief in that tool... You are the source of the power. And what you believe most strongly is what allows the tool to do its work."

In that sense a device is a permission slip: it triggers a belief system already present in the user rather than delivering power from outside.

## Whole-system thinking and natural energy

When the conversation turns to how technology might work with energy in the ocean and other living systems, Bashar reframes the question itself. He says you have to "start thinking in a different way," looking at whole systems rather than components, so that you can see the balances, currents, flows, and exchanges that already exist in nature. One exploratory example he offers is creating capacitors of certain volumes and proportions in mathematically fractal ratios, nesting them within one another, and immersing them in particular mediums.

The framing is suggestive rather than a blueprint — "we are not allowed to help you all too much with this because it's up to your own process and your own imagination to figure out the details" — and it preserves the principle that relationship to the whole matters more than the isolated device.

A related image appears in the free-energy material, where Bashar describes versions of Earth that already draw their power from plants. "They have found ways to convert the concept of photosynthesis from the different trees and flowers and plants into a variety of devices wirelessly."

He is careful to locate such versions within parallel-reality selection rather than as a forecast for this Earth: the capacity exists, but whether it is expressed depends on which reality a society chooses to inhabit.

## Ancient technology and lost understanding

The pyramid material describes an inverse relationship between technological refinement and time. Bashar states that the earliest pyramids are actually the most precise and accomplished, because they were built using knowledge passed down through the mystery schools from extraterrestrial sources. As that fuller understanding was forgotten, what remained was the cruder mechanical application, and eventually even that was lost.

When asked whether the technology was purely mechanical, he names a combination: "Some of it was mechanical technology, some of it was vibratory technology, some of it was sonic in that sense. Some of it was also a chemical understanding."

The account frames stone levitation as belonging only to the earliest structures, with later builders retaining only the mechanical remnants.

This serves the chapter's central point in reverse: when consciousness that supported a fuller technology receded, the technology itself could not be sustained. Loss of inner understanding correlated with loss of outer capacity — consistent with the axiom that one reflects the other.

## Speculative propulsion as redefinition

In one exchange Bashar offers a principle for the kind of propulsion his civilization uses. "Location is not something object exists in, it is a property of the object because space and time are your constructs." He describes isolating the variable in an object's vibrational equation that represents its locational frequency, creating a "dynamic resonance field," and then imposing an overpowering vibration of a new locale so the object "must by definition take up residence at the new locale that is represented by the vibrational pitch you have given it."

The teaching is presented as a speculative illustration of how a vibrational understanding of reality could alter the relationship between an object and place itself — not as construction instructions.

## Practical implications

The transcripts point toward several stances a learner can take without converting the material into medical, engineering, or financial direction:

Treat any device, tool, or practice as a mirror of your own state. If a tool is meaningful to you, use it; if not, its effect on someone else is not a verdict on you. "A tool that you do not have a strong belief about will not work for you."

When approaching a field like energy or ecology, look for whole-system relationships — balances, currents, flows, exchanges — rather than treating a single device as the answer.

When you meet an ancient or anomalous structure, consider that technical refinement can decline rather than advance when the consciousness supporting it recedes.

Regard descriptions of free-energy Earths or new economic paradigms as statements about realities that already exist and can be selected, not as predictions guaranteed for this Earth.

Hold modern and traditional interpretations together: you can value what brought you here without being bound by it, as long as you do not resist your natural self.
