# Time & Space

Time and space, in Bashar's framework, are not containers that events happen inside of — they are effects produced by consciousness shifting through static, already-complete parallel-reality frames billions of times per second. The apparent continuity of a life, a past, and a future is a perspective created by the perceiver, not an objective structure outside the perceiver.

This makes time and space real as experience and malleable in how they are experienced, while remaining, in Bashar's account, illusions at the level of what actually exists.

## The filmstrip analogy

Bashar's central analogy is a strip of film. Each frame has no movement in it; the only way you create the illusion of movement is by running those frames past a projector at a certain frequency. This, he says, is exactly what is happening with parallel realities: every parallel reality is in and of itself an absolutely immobile frame, with no time, space, or movement of its own. By shifting your consciousness through those frames billions of times per second, you create the side effect you call time and space — the illusion of movement. No parallel reality, in and of itself, actually has any time, space, or movement at all.

Because nothing is actually moving, Bashar's civilization can "slip and slide" through space and time more flexibly than humans do — they have learned, in his phrasing, to skip frames. The same flexibility, he says, is what makes his conversation with you possible at all: he is, in a sense, the channel's future self, and because past and future are illusions and everything exists all at once, the conversation can occur.

## Continuity is a created perspective

If each parallel reality is a complete and self-contained frame, the obvious question is why you experience continuity at all. Bashar's answer is that you are creating the connection by creating the illusion of continuity; the connection is your creation, your perspective.

This has two important consequences for how shifts are experienced:

First, each parallel Earth is a complete reality with its own history.

When you make a change, it is a total change — you are shifting into a completely different reality, as a completely different person, with a completely different history. The body of the parallel Earth you arrive in belongs to that reality; it has its own world, its own history.

Second, in physical reality you continue to experience the idea of a past, present, and future, because that is the form physical experience takes. In each reality, everything still exists in the moment, but for the benefit of your linearity you experience continuity even though all existence is simultaneous.

When the degree of difference between frames becomes large enough, you may notice different memories, and other people may describe events differently than you remember them — though most of the time the new continuity simply feels like the one you have always had.

## The present is not a result of the past

A direct implication is that the present moment is not produced by the past. Each moment is self-contained, and you are always complete in every moment by definition, or you would not exist. Bashar states this succinctly: "One moment is not connected to the next. The present is not a result of the past."

What you call the past is being recalled from the present, in the same way that, in your current world, you say "I did that yesterday" — a present-perspective statement about a frame that is, in fact, simultaneous with this one.

## The Akashic records are present accessibility

Because everything exists here and now, Bashar reframes the idea of the Akashic records: nothing needs to be recorded, because all events always exist. The "Akashic records" are not a remote archive you have to go to; they are the present accessibility of any event by tuning yourself to its frequency. You tune yourself to the frequency of a particular concept of an event, time, and space, and access whatever information is relevant for that.

Information also follows the path of least resistance. If you can simply ask someone their name, that is the path of least resistance — and there is no need to access the same information by any other means. The question is not whether something is possible but whether it is probable and relevant in the moment.

## Continuity can flex without breaking

Even within physical reality, the experience of time and space can become more flexible, malleable, and plastic. Bashar gives a small everyday example: a questioner who expected three metro stops and arrived having skipped one, without experiencing the missing stop at all. As you expand your understanding of the simultaneous structure of parallel realities, you can find different routes that do not play out completely linearly — arriving where you need to be by acceleration or compaction rather than by passing through every point.

There is, however, a limit: you cannot give up the total idea of physiological time-space continuity and still have a physical experience that makes any sense. You will instead learn to take the blended, holographic moments and sprinkle them into the overall continuity in a balanced and relevant way.

## Practical implications

Treat time as timing. Bashar's distinction between time and timing turns the question from "when will this happen?" to "is this the relevant moment?" Action follows relevance rather than the clock.

Notice continuity as your creation. When the past feels fixed, remember that the experience of a continuous past is a perspective created from the present; this can soften identification with a personal history.

Allow small flexes. Experiences of acceleration, compaction, or skipping in everyday movement can be accepted as the flexibility of space-time rather than as errors; you do not have to force every step to land.

Use present access, not archival retrieval. When seeking information from the past or future, tune to the frequency of the event rather than imagining a remote library; the path of least resistance will often be the most ordinary available route.

Keep physical continuity. Exploring non-linear time is not the same as abandoning continuity altogether; a physical experience still requires some degree of sequential structure.
