# Time Travel

In Bashar's model, time travel is real as an experience but never literally to your own timeline. Because every parallel reality exists at once as a frozen, timeless snapshot, any "travel" to a past or future is always a shift into an independent parallel reality that merely resembles your past or future. The two linked sessions are near-duplicate recordings of the same teaching; the chapter rests on that single sustained account.

## The film-strip model of time

Bashar's account begins with the claim that there is only one moment in creation. What we call "different moments" are the same moment seen from different points of view. Physical space-time experience is the product of consciousness shifting from one parallel-reality frame to another — "like a projector light shining through frames of film" — and that shifting happens literally billions of times per second. Each frame is itself timeless, a frozen snapshot with no movement. The experience of change, movement, and time is the side effect of skipping across those frames.

This is why Bashar can say both "time is an illusion" and "time travel is real." The illusion is the continuity; the reality is the frame-shifting. You are already time traveling, in this framing, every time your consciousness moves from one snapshot to the next.

## Why the grandfather paradox cannot occur

The film-strip model dissolves the classic paradox. When you "go back" and kill your grandfather, you are not editing your own past; you are shifting into a different parallel reality and killing the grandfather of another version of you there. You do not cease to exist, because your own timeline — the chain of frames your consciousness has been sampling — is untouched. Every arrival in a "past" is an arrival in a parallel stream that simply happens to be at that point in its history.

The same logic applies to the future: you never visit your future, you visit a parallel frame whose history presents as future from your point of view. Time travel, in this teaching, is always parallel-reality travel wearing the appearance of temporal travel.

## Practical implications

Distinguish the experience of time travel (which the source treats as real and constant) from the literal-editing-of-your-own-timeline variant (which it says is impossible). The practical question is not whether you shift, but which frame you shift to — and that, in Bashar's broader corpus, is governed by the vibration you bring to the present moment.

Treat any "past" you encounter — in memory, in regression, in experience — as a parallel frame coexisting with the present, not as a fixed literal ancestry you can edit or be trapped by. The teaching reframes the past as something the present is constantly creating, not something that predetermines it.

The film-strip model implies that change happens by changing the frame you sample, not by moving along a line; this is offered as a conceptual frame, not as a technique for physically traveling in time.

## Representative passages

Everything exists here and now. Everything really is the same moment. There is only one moment in creation. And what you call different moments is really the same moment from different points of view. […] Your consciousness skips and shifts through those independent parallel reality frames literally billions of times per second. […] When you experience the idea called time travel, you are shifting to another parallel reality that is completely independent of the parallel reality moment you may have experienced a moment ago.— Bashar, All Things Exist Now The Present Creates The Past (all-things-exist-now-the-present-creates-the-past#qa-1)

If you go back and kill your grandfather, you are going into a parallel reality and killing the grandfather of another version of you, so you will not cease to exist.— Bashar, All Things Exist Now The Present Creates The Past (all-things-exist-now-the-present-creates-the-past#qa-1)
