# UFO Sightings

A UFO sighting can be a direct encounter, a mysterious light that remains ambiguous, or an interaction with your own simultaneous parallel selves. Bashar offers a simple rule of thumb for interpreting such experiences: when you see what you call a UFO, if it isn't absolutely, obviously, clearly beyond a shadow of a doubt a spacecraft, then it isn't, even if it is.

## The Rule of Thumb

This principle exists because you don't have to wonder about it. When it needs to be evident, when it needs to be obvious, it will be.

In the meantime, however, the real issue is that you are being given an opportunity to experience a mystery. And what does mystery do? It makes you curious, and thus it lures you into discovering more of yourself.

## The Watermelon Seed Principle

The unresolved mystery is what Bashar calls the watermelon seed principle: when you have a watermelon seed and squeeze it between your thumb and forefinger, it's like having a mystery that must be solved but can't be solved — it must be solved, but it can't be solved.

You find yourself in that stalemate, that conundrum, feeling squeezed by the cannot-solve-it and the must-solve-it. And when it squeezes you hard enough, then just like a watermelon seed, it spits you out in a new direction, heretofore unexpected, and you discover something new, a new perspective.

## Sightings as Interaction with Parallel Selves

Some UFO sightings are interactions with your simultaneous parallel selves. You shift billions of times per second, so it is always a parallel version of you involved.

When you have an inspiration like building a landing pad, that inspiration comes from a parallel version of you.

Ships seen over a location may be piloted by parallel versions of the witnesses themselves. One participant asked whether a parallel version of herself was flying one of the ships seen over Angel Valley; Bashar answered simply, "Yes."

When her daughter-in-law saw a spaceship outside her bedroom window and asked whether she had been the one piloting it, Bashar identified the figure as "her future, her parallel self."

## Direct Encounters and Awakening

Some sightings are direct, unmistakable encounters designed to awaken you to your path. The channel Darryl Anka had two very close, broad daylight UFO sightings with friends present — first about 150 feet away, then about 70 feet away — both times an equilateral, triangular ship, dark metallic, about 30 feet on a side.

There was no question as to what they were seeing and no question that it didn't come from here. That sighting piqued his curiosity and led him to investigate UFOs, which eventually led him to channeling and the remembrance of an agreement made with Bashar before this life.

## Practical Implications

When you have an ambiguous UFO sighting, resist the urge to force it into certainty. Let the mystery work on you — let it squeeze you between the must-solve and the cannot-solve until you spit out in a new direction of perspective. The gift is not the answer but the exploration the mystery ignites.

When a sighting feels direct and unmistakable, recognize it may be a communication from your parallel self or an awakening to a path you chose before this life. Neither requires proof — both serve you by expanding your sense of what is possible and connecting you to more of yourself.

As Bashar says, "What was important was that the information seemed to have the ability to help people make positive and constructive changes in their lives."

Focus on what the experience opens in you, not on proving what it was.

## Representative Passages

When you see what you call a UFO, if it isn't absolutely, obviously, clearly beyond a shadow of a doubt a spacecraft, then it isn't, even if it is. Because why wonder? You don't have to wonder about it. When it needs to be evident, when it needs to be obvious, it will be. In the meantime, however, the real issue here is you are being given an opportunity to experience a mystery. And what does mystery do? It makes us curious, and thus it lures you into discovering more of yourself.— Bashar, Rule Of Thumb For Seeing A Ufo (rule-of-thumb-for-seeing-a-ufo#qa-1)

Yes, of course, because it's always a parallel version of you, since you shift billions of times per second.— Bashar, Interacting With Simultaneous Lives In Ufo Sightings (interacting-with-simultaneous-lives-in-ufo-sightings#qa-1)

I had, in one week, 25 years ago, on two different occasions, two different, very close broad daylight UFO sightings with friends present both time. First time it was only about 150 feet away, the second time it was only about 70 feet away. Both times an equilateral, triangular ship, dark metallic, and color about 30 feet on a side. After having seen something that blatant. And there was no question as to what we were seeing and no question that it didn't come from here.— Darryl Anka, Monologues (monologues#text)
