# Unconditional Love

Unconditional love, in this teaching, is not a feeling you produce, a standard you meet, or a reward you earn — it is the very frequency of existence itself, "without condition," the prime vibration of all that is.

When you align with it you are most highly aligned with the nature of existence; when you resist it you do not destroy it, you only filter it into other sensations such as fear. This orients the whole subject: unconditional love is what is already there, and the work is never to manufacture it but to stop blocking what is already unconditionally supporting you.

## The prime vibration of existence

The pure definition Bashar offers is deliberately short. Unconditional love is the vibration of existence itself — unconditionally supportive, unconditionally allowing, unconditionally loving — the prime frequency of all that is, of God itself, however you name it.

Different dimensions and physical realities translate that one frequency into different forms, but the source vibration is singular. This is why he treats "love" not as one emotion among many but as the underlying signature that every positive state (excitement, joy, passion, peace) is a physical translation of.

Because it is the frequency of existence, alignment with it is alignment with what you fundamentally are. The physical manifestation comes through the higher mind: the higher mind expresses the vibration by first unconditionally loving the self as a reflection of all that is, and then extending that outward to all other reflections.

Difficulty expressing unconditional love therefore always points inward, not outward: if you find it hard to express, there is some aspect of yourself you are not yet loving unconditionally.

## Neutrality, compassion, and the room for preference

A common confusion treats unconditional love as the abolition of preference. Bashar is explicit that it is not. You can prefer and not prefer, you can recognize neutrally that someone is doing something mechanically negative — separative, disconnective, segregative — and still meet them with the compassion of knowing they may not know how to do things any other way.

A strong component of unconditional love is neutrality, and a strong component of it is compassion. The two belong together: clear seeing plus the recognition that the other may simply lack the tools to act otherwise.

This lets unconditional love coexist with authenticity and boundaries. You do not have to accept into your reality what is vibrationally incompatible with you; you can love what you do not prefer without inviting it in.

Being an authentic example of what you prefer — so that others know exactly who they are dealing with — is described as the greatest act of love, because it gives them a clear reflection to choose with.

Permissiveness is not unconditional love: a parent who lets a child do anything in the name of love is not loving unconditionally, whereas guiding the child toward what actually works for them, even when it sets limits, may be.

## The unconditional allowance of existence itself

The most paradoxical teaching here is about the mechanics of how existence loves. All that is loves so unconditionally that it will allow you to believe you are not unconditionally loved — that is how unconditionally loved you are.

It will allow you any belief whatsoever, even the belief that negates the idea you are loved at all. The very ability to believe you are unsupported, in the face of your own existence (which should be all the proof of support you need), shows how deeply and actively you are unconditionally supported in anything you choose to believe. Love, in this sense, is total allowance — of all action, all thoughts, all feelings — and it always appreciates and values you, no matter what you do.

This reframes the spiritual path not as earning love but as dropping the beliefs that mask a support already present. If creation has been willing to support you unconditionally in realities you do not prefer, then it will certainly support you in realities you do — its track record of support is already proven.

## Fear as filtered love

A corollary shapes how Bashar treats fear. You only have one energy, and fundamentally that energy is unconditional love. When you filter it through belief systems that are out of alignment with your true core self, you experience that same energy as the sensation you call fear.

Fear, in this framing, is not the opposite of love — it is love passed through a distorting definition. When you make fear your friend and thank it for showing you a belief you do not prefer, it dissolves back into unconditional love, passion, and excitement.

The practical move is therefore not to fight fear but to read it: it is the signal that an out-of-alignment belief is operating, and the love being distorted is available the moment the belief is seen.

## Self-love as the gate

Because unconditional love is the frequency of existence and you are made of that frequency, the gate to expressing it is self-love. You must allow yourself to unconditionally love yourself; when you do, expressing unconditional love outward becomes easy.

When you no longer reject yourself, others' rejection ceases to touch you — you can meet it with compassion instead, because you are not depending on their reflection to know what you are. This is also why the mirror of reality is never a one-to-one reflection: observing someone doing something negative does not mean you are negative in the same way. You may be observing it only to clarify what you do and do not prefer, so the work is to love yourself enough to explore what your involvement actually reveals rather than collapsing into self-blame.

## Sending love, and the timelessness of the gift

The act of sending love is treated as instantaneous rather than as a process. The moment you think of sending light and love to someone, you become that vibration and it is sent; there is no technique to master. Whether the recipient receives it is up to them — it is always there for them to receive when they are ready, even years later. "What is time to love?"

This is why prayers of knowing connection rather than fearful pleading are the useful kind: a prayer that is a knowing connection lands as a present gift, while a prayer born of "we better pray or else" carries the vibration of fear and reinforces what it fights.

The same principle underlies Bashar's teaching on world concern. The solution to a polluted, suffering world is not protection (the need for protection invites the idea of attack) but love: acting in the manner of the world you prefer, in creative expression, coming up with new ideas to replace the old systems that no longer work.

You do not get peace by hating war; you get peace by loving peace. And because you never change the world you are on but only shift to a parallel version already reflective of the change you have made within yourself, the vibration you hold — concern, or love — becomes the reality you experience.

## Telepathy's foundation

Unconditional love is also the practical basis of telepathy in this teaching. Telepathy is described not as mind-reading but as being in the same vibrational state as another, so that you have the same thoughts at the same time — which is why people who are in love often think simultaneously.

The universal language of telepathy is therefore predicated on being on the same wavelength, which means being in unconditional love. This is why the first lesson of any educational system that wished to teach telepathy would be how to love — taught with flexibility and flow rather than rigid institutionalization.

## Practical implications

What these transcripts ask of a learner is consistent and specific. Begin with self-love: any difficulty expressing unconditional love outward points to an aspect of yourself not yet loved, so investigate there rather than performing love externally.

Read your fear as filtered love rather than as an enemy: when fear arises, ask what out-of-alignment belief is distorting the single energy you are made of, and the recognition itself lets the belief go.

Keep your preferences — unconditional love is not permissiveness; you can love what is incompatible with you without inviting it into your reality, and you can set guiding limits on those in your care without withdrawing love.

When you send love, trust that it is sent the instant you think of it and that it waits for the recipient as long as they need; do not turn the act of sending into a technique or a worry.

And when you face a world that looks broken, let your response be the vibration of the world you prefer — creative, allowing, lightly held — rather than protective defense, knowing that the reality you experience will match the state you hold.

These are metaphysical teachings about the nature of consciousness and experience. They are not medical, legal, or financial direction, and they do not advise abandoning professional care, protective boundaries where harm is present, or the practical structures that keep people safe. The boundary the teaching itself draws is between unconditional love (an inner allowance that never requires tolerating harm) and unconditional access (which no one owes another person). The two are different, and confusing them is treated in the source material itself as a misunderstanding of what "unconditional" means.

## Representative passages

What you call in your frequency, unconditional love, is actually the vibration, the frequency of existence itself. And if you will look in your dictionaries, you will see that unconditional means unconditional, without condition, whatsoever.— Bashar, Unconditional Love Is The Frequency Of Existence Itself (unconditional-love-is-the-frequency-of-existence-itself#qa-1)

All that is loves so unconditionally it will actually allow you to believe you are not unconditionally loved. That's how unconditionally loved you are. It will allow you any belief whatsoever, even the belief that negates the idea you are unconditionally loved.— Bashar, Permission Slips (permission-slips#qa-3)

It doesn't mean that you can't still recognize what you do and don't prefer. It doesn't mean that you can't observe and recognize neutrally that someone may be doing something that essentially is mechanically negative, that is separative, disconnective, segregative. The idea, nevertheless, is that you can have the compassion to recognize that they may not know how to do things any other way.— Bashar, Unconditional Love Is The Frequency Of Existence Itself (unconditional-love-is-the-frequency-of-existence-itself#qa-2)

The idea of really only being an example of what you prefer, and showing others by demonstrating what you prefer and what you don't that is true and not true for you, is actually the greatest act of love because then they know who they're dealing with. You are authentic.— Bashar, What Is The Definition Of Love (what-is-the-definition-of-love#qa-4)

You only have one energy. Fundamentally, that energy is unconditional love. But if you filter that energy, if you flow that energy through belief systems that are out of alignment with your true core self, you'll experience that energy as the sensation you call fear.— Bashar, Four Laws Of Creation (four-laws-of-creation#text)
