# Yayel

The Yayel are, in Bashar's teaching, the hybrid civilization that will be the first to make open contact with Earth. Bashar also calls them the Shalanaia in what he describes as his people's ancient language. They are presented as a hybrid civilization similar to Bashar's own (Essassani), but more closely connected genetically to humanity than his people are — which is the reason they, rather than Bashar's civilization, go first.

## Who the Yayel are

Bashar's most direct identification of the Yayel comes when he is asked which civilization humans are likely to make open contact with first:

The first civilization it is likely that you will make open contact with are called the Yael, or what in our ancient language we call the Shalanaia. They are a hybrid civilization similar to our own, but they are more closely connected genetically to your civilization, and they will be the first ones to make open contact.— Bashar, First Contact With The Shalania Hybrid Civilization (first-contact-with-the-shalania-hybrid-civilization#qa-2)

Two attributes matter here. First, the Yayel are a hybrid civilization — part of the same broader hybridization lineage documented elsewhere in the corpus (see hybrids, hybridization, greys-and-hybrids). Second, their closer genetic tie to humans is precisely what qualifies them to go first: they are more recognizably "kin" to Earth than Bashar's own civilization is.

In another exchange, Bashar points out that the ships many people see are not all from one civilization, but the Yayel's craft will be the prominent ones at this point in your timeline precisely because they are the species destined for that first contact.

## The Yayel as the precursor to Bashar's own landing

A key sequencing point: Bashar states that his own civilization will not land physically on Earth until after the initial Yayel contact has occurred. The Yayel go first; Bashar's people follow, in their own timing, later in or after the same window:

This will happen after the initial contact with the other species called the Yayel, which will most likely happen between 2025 and '23. Somewhere later in that period or after that period, we will be allowed to arrive. It will be our timing in that sense. Most likely the first place will be the area that my ship is now floating above on your planet, which is the area you call Sedona.— Bashar, When Will Bashar Arrive On Earth And Where Will He Land Bashar2.0 (when-will-bashar-arrive-on-earth-and-where-will-he-land-bashar20#qa-1)

The Yayel therefore function as the diplomatic leading edge: the bridge between humanity and the wider family of hybrid (and other) civilizations.

## The Yayel and human experience

Bashar indicates that contact with the Yayel is not a future-only event for many people — it has already happened, in childhood or out-of-body, for those who chose certain themes. Asked who a questioner was with during intense childhood experiences of night tremors, sleepwalking, and being "plummeted toward the earth," Bashar answers directly: "Hybrids we have called the Yael, some of which are beings that belong to other civilizations."

The framing is that such interactions broadened the person's perspective and helped them remember themes they chose to explore in physical reality.

Bashar also describes the connection between an individual human and the Yayel as often a counterpart connection — a version of the self that is simultaneously incarnate in the Yayel civilization. Connection to another civilization, he says, is generally a connection to the counterpart life you have there, while the autonomy of the others is still preserved: "It's this and that, not this or that."

## Sightings and the question of response

In the predictions monologue titled 13 Months and Counting, Bashar describes another major sighting by the Yayel ship within the predicted window. He is careful to separate the certainty of the sighting from the openness of the response: the sighting itself he gives as a near-certainty, while how humanity responds is left to humanity. The sighting is framed as an opportunity — a chance to decide whether to include them, whether to move forward.

This is consistent with Bashar's broader rule for all such predictions: they are readings of the energy and momentum at the time of speaking, not fixed futures, and human participation can maintain or alter the course.

## Practical implications

Treat contact timing as a probability, not a date. Bashar consistently frames the 2025–2033 window for initial Yayel contact as a reading of present momentum, subject to change. The instruction is to participate in the momentum you prefer rather than wait passively for a date.

Notice the counterpart frame. If you feel a strong pull toward the Yayel specifically, Bashar's teaching suggests it may be because you have a counterpart connection there — a version of you in that civilization — not merely an abstract interest.

Childhood anomalous experiences may be contact, not pathology. Bashar's reading of night tremors, sleepwalking, and out-of-body experiences in childhood treats them, in some cases, as perspective-broadening interactions with the Yayel tied to chosen life themes — not as random malfunction.

This is a reframing, not a medical claim; it does not override clinical evaluation of any distressing symptoms.

Don't wait for Bashar; the Yayel come first. Bashar is explicit that his own physical landing is downstream of the Yayel contact. Expecting Bashar himself to appear first inverts the sequence he describes.

## Representative passages

The first civilization it is likely that you will make open contact with are called the Yael, or what in our ancient language we call the Shalanaia. They are a hybrid civilization similar to our own, but they are more closely connected genetically to your civilization, and they will be the first ones to make open contact.— Bashar, First Contact With The Shalania Hybrid Civilization (first-contact-with-the-shalania-hybrid-civilization#qa-2)

one that will always be prominent at this particular point will be the hybrid civilization similar to our own that we have labeled the Yael. This then you will find is because they are the first species that will have actual open contact with your civilization in time.— Bashar, Ufos And The Shalania Hybrid Civilization Bashar2.0 (ufos-and-the-shalania-hybrid-civilization-bashar20#qa-1)

Someday we will land. Many people have seen our ship physically, but have not seen our body physically. This will happen after the initial contact with the other species called the Yayel, which will most likely happen between 2025 and '23… Most likely the first place will be the area that my ship is now floating above on your planet, which is the area you call Sedona.— Bashar, When Will Bashar Arrive On Earth And Where Will He Land Bashar2.0 (when-will-bashar-arrive-on-earth-and-where-will-he-land-bashar20#qa-1)

Hybrids we have called the Yael, some of which are beings that belong to other civilizations.— Bashar, Childhood Dreams With Hybrids Exploring Future Themes Bashar Nexus Point (childhood-dreams-with-hybrids-exploring-future-themes-bashar-nexus-point#qa-1)

Obviously, you have counterparts in their civilization. Because generally when you make some kind of a connection to another civilization, you'll be making a connection to the counterpart life you have in that civilization. Everyone exists at once… Remember, it's this and that, not this or that.— Bashar, Earth Game collective Agreements Counterpart Lives (earth-game-collective-agreements-counterpart-lives#qa-4)
