The label "year of guardianship" is one such assignment, layered on top of an earlier "year of breakdown and breakthrough." It is a symbolic naming of a collective phase, not a prediction that the phase must unfold the same way for everyone or in any particular calendar window. ## From breakdown and breakthrough to guardianship The prior phase — "the year of breakdown and breakthrough" — describes the falling away of everything in personal and collective life that is not built on the individual's core frequency. What does not match the frequency of the person's joy and true self dissolves, melts away, or, if it is stubbornly clung to, produces trouble as a prompting to let go. Trusting that what is more representative of one's frequency will arrive and support the person is what allows the breakdown to be experienced as breakthrough rather than loss. Guardianship extends that baseline rather than replacing it. The dissolution of the out-of-frequency continues underneath, while the new layer adds an active, present-tense responsibility: a growing awareness of the interaction already going on between each person and their guides in the non-physical, and an opening into a more deliberate guardianship of the planet itself. ## Awakening into the memory of why you incarnated The core of guardianship is the awakening into the memory of why each person chose to incarnate on Earth at this point of transformation. Bashar frames it as recognizing that a great transformational era was known to be approaching, and that the individual wanted to participate in it. Guardianship is the gradual resumption of the capability to play that part by being the full self — acting, in each present opportunity, on whatever contains the highest degree of joy and excitement.
