# Youniverse

"Youniverse" is Bashar's portmanteau for the central metaphysical claim that you are your own universe — you fill it completely, and there is nothing in your experience but more of you. Every person, object, and circumstance you perceive is your own version of that thing, built out of your own consciousness in order to have an interactive experience. The teaching is not solipsism for its own sake; it is offered as the reason fear of the unknown is unwarranted and the reason you are, ultimately, completely safe: the only thing you can ever encounter in any direction is more of yourself.

## You fill your universe completely

Bashar states the core claim without hedge. Whatever appears in your universe with you is your representation of it — including the other people you interact with. You do not interact with them directly; you create a version of them out of your own energy and populate your universe with that version, in order to agree to interact with them:

You are your universe. You fill it completely. There's nothing else in it. The idea is that whatever appears to be in the universe with you is your version of that thing. Any other people you interact with, you don't actually interact with them directly in that way. You create your version of them and populate your universe with your version of them in order to agree to interact with that person. So who is there in your own universe to reject you but you? And what is there in your own universe to discover but more of you? Nothing. So you're safe. You're completely safe because it's all you.— Bashar, Youniverse (youniverse#qa-1)

Bashar is careful to add that this does not mean other people do not exist. They do. What it means is that the thing you are actually interacting with is not them directly but your perception, your version, your creation of them — which is still made out of you. The other person is having their own experience in their own youniverse; the version standing in yours is yours. Bashar calls this constructed representation a simulacrum.

## The Law of One and the "only one in the room"

The same teaching shows up in its most literal form in the Law of One exchange. When asked directly whether he is the only one in the room, Bashar answers yes — and then immediately extends the same courtesy to everyone else:

You're the only one in your room. Everyone else is creating their own rooms, and they're the only one in their rooms. But you're all co-creating the idea of being in a room together, and so you are all harmonizing individual rooms in your own realities.— Bashar, Am I The Only One In The Room Right Now (am-i-the-only-one-in-the-room-right-now#qa-1)

The shared room is therefore a co-created harmony, not a single container with multiple occupants. Each participant is the sole inhabitant of their own reality, generating the appearance of togetherness by harmonizing their individual room with the individual rooms the others are generating in theirs. This is the mechanism that lets the youniverse teaching coexist with genuine co-creation: it is all you in your room, and it is all them in theirs, and the agreement to harmonize is what produces the appearance of a shared world.

## The unknown is the bigger you

The practical payoff of the youniverse claim is a complete reframing of the unknown. If everything you can possibly encounter is made of your own consciousness, then the unknown cannot contain anything alien or hostile — it can only contain more of you. Exploring the unknown becomes the act of getting to know the "bigger you," which Bashar pointedly calls wonderful and worth getting to know.

In order to actually have an interactive experience, you have to create a simulacrum, a representation of something to interact with out of your own energy, out of your own consciousness. It doesn't mean the other person doesn't exist. But what you're interacting with is not them directly per se, it's your version of them, your perception of them, your creation of them. So it's still made out of you. So that's all you'll discover is more of you in the unknown. All you're doing is getting to know yourself… The bigger you is wonderful. I would highly suggest you get to know her. She can help you. There is nothing to be afraid of about her.— Bashar, Youniverse (youniverse#qa-1)

The same framing appears in the Star Conference fundamentals: physical reality is "really nothing but a mirror — holographic, multidimensional, blank until you give it meaning," and the instruction is to "make a friend of the unknown, for it is the only place you will ever discover more of yourself." The mirror and the youniverse are the same teaching stated two ways: the mirror emphasizes that the outer reflects the inner, and the youniverse emphasizes that there is no "outer" at all — only more of you, shaped into the appearance of an outer world so that you can interact with yourself.

## Practical implications

Fear of the unknown is structurally unwarranted. If everything in your universe is made of your own consciousness, the unknown cannot threaten you with anything foreign; it can only reveal more of you.

This is offered not as a feel-good reassurance but as the logical consequence of how reality is structured.

The person across from you is your version of them. This means the work of relationship is always, at some layer, the work of your own consciousness — because the version of the other person you are actually interacting with is your creation. It also means other people genuinely exist and have their own experience in their own youniverse.

A shared world is a harmony, not a container. You are the only one in your room; the togetherness you experience is the harmonizing of individual rooms, not co-occupancy of a single one. This is why you can shift your reality without needing to convert anyone else — each of you is generating your own room.

No one in your universe can reject you but you. Because everyone in your experience is your representation of them, any rejection you perceive is ultimately a dynamic you are generating — which also means it is one you can resolve.

## Representative passages

You are your universe. You fill it completely. There's nothing else in it… So who is there in your own universe to reject you but you? And what is there in your own universe to discover but more of you? Nothing. So you're safe. You're completely safe because it's all you.— Bashar, Youniverse (youniverse#qa-1)
